Question about Motorola Mobility V262

2 Answers

Sound I cannot hear callers and when I use the keypad on my motorola v262 phone no sound occurs. I only hear sounds when speakerphone is on. This happens on occasion apparently when I hit some button and I never know how to fix it. My son usually hits a bunch of buttons until it works again. Any clue?

I can not hear people or the phone ringing but people can hear me. Cricket is of no help and says the phone was dropped too many times for them to honar the warranty. They suck bad.

This is an ear piece issue. very common on V262 phones.
Drop it more then once, and the problems starts.until the ear piece goes dead. Take your phone to a local repair store.but don't pay more the $15, since it is an 3 minutes job and the ear piece only cost $5.Any questions please ask.

You need to check the setting if the phone is not put to a sort of mute setting while pressing the buttons.

Dave. Maybe your phone microphone isn't turning off. Try unpairing and re-pairing.

I have a Motorola i776w i must put the caller on Speakerphone or use an earpiece to get audio.

Hi, when you start using a phone with speaker and earpiece,it means that the earpiece inside the phone that allows you to hear others when they call you is faulty, and you will need to replace it,for you to stop using the speaker.

Take care.

I can only hear a caller if I turn on the speaker. What's going on?

Hi,

All the [hones contains two speakers,
1)Headspeaker, Used for hearing from callers..
2)Loudspeaker for hearing Ringtones and callers when on speakerphone mode

THe problem in your case is with the headspeaker,

To check the headspeaker:

UNSCREW THE PHONE TO INSPECT THE SPEAKER.
REPLACE IT, IF IT IS DAMAGED.
TRY USING SOLDERING LED AND SOLDERING IRON TO SOLDER, THE SPEAKER

leave me comment, if you need further assistance

I have a motorola v262 and just changed the keypad, but i can hear callers and they cannot hear me? can you help?

graydog,

if you manage to change the keypad most probably the condenser MIC inside the phone been misaligned. try to check if the condeser MIC is properly sitted on it's original place and if you do have a multi tester you might as well check the resistance of the condenser MIC.
the nromal resistance for condeser MIC is 500ohms and some are 60 omhs.

cheers

Can't hear caller

The earpiece speaker has gone bad. Unless you have access to a replacement speaker and can solder you will have to take the phone to you nearest Motorola service center.
