Question about ATI RADEON X1650 Graphic Card

PCI Graphic card for Tomb Raider underworld

I'm confused looking at the minimum spec for Tomb Raider underworld and graphic cards. It says:

GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce 6 series 6800GT (or better) / ATI 1800XT (or better)

However, the Dell Dimension 3000 that I have only has PCI slots, can I buy a graphic card that meets this spec that will fit in a PCI slot, they all seem to be PCI-e ?

Help!

Thanks for your help, but unfortunately I don't think this PC has any PCI-e slots. When I've looked inside and also looking at the technical diagrams there are just three PCI slots, and certainly the one PCI-e card I did get wouldn't fit anywhere in the computer.

Hi,
There are PCI slots in your Machine and one or two PCI-Express slots (one of which might be very short). Usually the Graphics PCI-Express slot is the one on top (right below the CPU).
In order to play Tombraider at a decent speed, you should consider buying a Graphicscard for about 100-120$ going to low will result in low framerates, going to high is not worth the money since graphics cards are becoming obsolete in a matter of 2 years or so...

so get yourself a decent PCE-E GraphicsCard and youll be all set!
Hope this was understandable =)

Geforce 6200 PCI is not running some games after installation

not sure of the game but pci graphics cards are not for gaming, that pc is a bit old- you need a pci express graphics card to game thses days. Also the 6200 is very weak as a gpu and very old- Nvidia is now in the 10th series of cards. Get a new computer definately with a core 2 duo cpu and at least a nvidia 8500gt grapgics card

Hello,

Your card is a low end, 128mb, AGP card, that doesnt support DX9 or higher. I assume L4D runs DX9c at least, though I dont play it. I would suggest investing in a better graphics card. Many are out there at reasonable prices that will run this game. As SubliMation said, check the box for graphics card minimum specs.
