My name is dave...i live in michigan..i have a snow blade hooked up to my craftman 1000 LT..20hp..my question is..should I use craftman 30sae motor oil during the winter months?

During the winter months where the temperature is frequently below freezing, most engine maunufacturers recommend to use a 10W30 SAE oil.
The thinner, multi-weight oil will allow your tractor to start easier in the colder temp. When the temps are higher, just go back to the 30W SAE oil.
Remember to always use a high quality oil. Lawn tractor engines use the same quality of oil as cars do, so get yourself some Pennzoil or Castrol or Havoline or whatever you normally use in your car.
Most lawn tractor engine use about 48 ounces to perform a complete oil change.

Good luck!

I have a cub cadet lt1045 that the belt comes off all the time

The stock settings on this tractor are awful, I ended up chopping the spring down and then using a propane torch I heated it up to make another bend at the end, this added tension. I then also had to adjust the angle that the tensioning bogey, or pulley, spun at. I believe I bent the piece of flatbar metal it rides on to change the angle so that it is lined up better with the p.t.o pulley. Loooots of trial and error.

If you have the snowplow accessory as well I found that I had to tighten the tension all the way on that as well to stop it from folding under a minor amount of snow, now I can take a run at a drift and push it without the blade caving under.

I have a Craftsman GT3000 19.5 hp and I can't find the lifting bracket for snowplow. Where do I locate the manual for the snowplow?

Sears doesn't believe in sharing information for free.

They are one of the few companies out there that do not post manuals online for their products.

They sell manuals and brackets at their partsdirect website

You may want to see if a local store has a manual they will copy for you but in my experience they aren't usually very motivated to help people out (something they inherited when they were bought by Kmart)

Good luck hoep that helps
