Question about Kodak Easyshare M753 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Camra dead. M 753

My wife had as a present a new kodak camera m 753 it was purchased by number 1 son and daughter as a combined christmas present.
It worked ok, till we came to charge it up after it had been charged 2or 3 times.
It would not accept a charge, we have had the charger checked today the guy said it was not working therefore we purchased a new charger all singing and dancing that will charge any camera battery including our kodak. After charging the camera would not work and is completley dead.
This was of course after trying a new battery and trying to run the camera off the usb point of the computer. Still dead as a doe doe.
The Kodak help line was no help at all.
End result No camera, and all singing new charger back to the shop tomorrow, stuck with a none working camera.

    To Foto bean,

I have tried all of the above suggestions and the camera is dead,

no red or green lights lit.

As stated the camera is dead.

I think that this is very poor of Kodak to treat customers in this way. We have raised this problem with the Kodak help line, who have said take it back to a Kodak surplier, But we are living in Spain, and not the uk were the camera was purchased. They have failed to supply any details of outlets in Spain or a address to post it to.

Kodak are a world wide company, who sell world wide in a gobal market.

Thanks for clarifying and I guess the only way to repair the Kodak is through a repair shop. Sorry I couldn't help.

Does the camera show any error code on the LCD? Have you tried to remove the batteries, then plugged in the Kodak 5 Volt AC adapter, then turned on the camera - does it work on AC alone? Is there a red light or green light lit on the camera when you plug it into the USB slot on your computer or using the AC adapter. Let me know, OK.

Have you tried cleaning the battery contacts inside the camera? This simple fix (use a fine wire brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper) clears about 90% of the non-charging and quick shutoff problems with these cameras.

Easyshare M1063 Digital Camera We received as Christmas present. Went to use it and it shuts off as soon as we turn it on.

This is normally a sign of weak/worn out batteries, and it's not uncommon for a camera to come with bad batteries. Make sure that your batteries are fresh/fully charged (HINT: you might try them in another device to make sure that they're good) and that your charger is working properly. Corrosion shouldn't be a problem on a new camera, but check the battery contacts inside the camera to make sure that they're clean. If you still can't get the camera working I suggest that you contact Kodak customer service via the Kodak.com web site or return the camera to the point of purchase.

The kodak easyShare z740 camra i have purchesed will not turn on

For Z740 camera the batteries should be AA Ni-MH batteries it will provide a maximum power on the camera. Now if your using the battery and its fully charged still wont turn On.

To test your camera if its defective, Try to Turn On the camera using a 3V AC adaptor if this failed it means you need to send the camera for repair you may call kodak tech support toll free 1 800 235 6325 ext 12

Approx how long will the camera 753 run using vidio only

Check one of the Digital Camera Review websites and look up the Kodak 753 camera. Here's the quote from the Kodak website:
The LCD displays the approximate number of pictures (or minutes/seconds of video) remaining. For average SD card capacities, visit www.kodak.com/go/SDcapacities. Actual storage capacity varies depending on subject composition, card size, and other factors. You may be able to store more or fewer pictures and videos. Favorites take up additional space in internal memory.

Hope this helps.

Faulty SD card

First try formatting the memory card in your PC and then try again. If that fails, purchase a new memory card of a different brand / manufacturer.
