Check the walking belt is tensioned correctly.

Remove power from the mach.

Most machines you should be able to slide your hand under belt, only to about the center of your palm or maybe your thumb.

if walking belt tension is correct. make sure the delt has lube on it. Your owners manual will determine what type (wax or silicone) or manufacturer to use.

When inspecting the deck (laminated board under the walking belt, which it slides on top of), check for wear or damage.

Worn decks and belts should both be replaced at the same time.

Beyond a walking belt area issue, check the drive belt under the motor hood. connecting the drive motor to the front roller. try twisting the belt on its axis. about a 30degree deflection would be standard. If this belt is loose, the front roller is loosing its drive.

Sounds primarily like a belt/deck lube or wear issue.

The turntable is not moving at the right speed; just a bit slow. how can the speed be adjusted up a bit? and what to look for?

It all depends on the type of deck. Direct Drive models are more complex as the motor has it's own control circuit where any part can go wrong producing a slower speed.

Belt drive ones are easier to diagnose. The belt being a bit weak can cause it. If you need to replace it make a note of how it fits.
Oil and dirt, grease can cause problems on both types of deck. Grease can build up and cause it to slow up. Sometimes it might need Oil and Grease to be applied!!

There are speed pre-sets, but if the speed slowing is on all speeds then avoid touching them. On belt drive decks a bad motor can cause problems. But it is not common unless the deck is old.
A good test is the movement of the platter by hand. If it feels hard to push it around by hand, or stops very quickly after a good push by hand, then there is something causing drag.

My proform crosswalk 525x runs for about 2mins

Need a new walking belt, turn off the treadmill and push the walking belt with your feet and you are going to feel how hard it is with friction on the belt and deck. I f it is to hard you need to replace the walking belt.

You can order on www.walkingbelts.com

When car picks up speed the heat blows. when u stop or slow down. cold air blows

Tell me when you speed up is the heater set on hot and high speed?????
WHEN you slow down is the fan still going at the same speed or dose it go very slow when on idle.
If the Fan stays on high but runs cold when going about 80 in top but when you speed up it gets hot and then back off slightly then its sounds like Water pump isent pumping the water around the engine correctly ,but then it should make the engine run overheated.or it could be a slipping fanbelt, but then that should make the Alternator to make a noise,so {throttle to 2000 rpm from idle standind still} and see if there's a noise coming from the water pump area.
The belt should have just a little free movement more on the longest part of the belt(a very little about 1/8' movement
So check it out and let ne know how you get on .

Walking belt slows down to almost a stop when i get on it

I believe under the motor shroud on the circuit board their should be 2 pots 1 adjusts torque 2. adjusts speed try adjusting them and see if that take care of the problem if not. worse case it might be the drive motor.

Treadmil stops or slows down upon walking.

Check both belts to be sure they are adjusted and not slipping.Check the underside of the walk belt to see if it feels frayed in the center as compared to the edges, the center always wears more than the edges a really worn belt must be replaced. if it is nor worn there is a wax lubricant for proform treadmills that can be purchased at retail stores that sell treadmills.Sears, dicks sporting goods and also treadmilldoctor.com are good places to buy it.

Manual Treadmills vs. Motorized Treadmills

Treadmills come in two basic varieties, just like lawnmowers: manual and motorized. But, unlike a lawnmower, you will generally get a better workout from a motorized treadmill. Manual Treadmills - Getting Going On a manual treadmill, the action of your feet against the deck moves the belt. Pros * You provide all of the motive power and exercise your lower body. Cons * It can be difficult to get the belt moving intially. That straining against the belt can stress your joints. * You may have to raise the incline of the treadmill significantly to make it easy enough to get the belt moving. * Once the belt is moving, however, you would have to stop and get off to change the incline, so you are stuck with one incline level during each workout. Motorized Treadmill Advantages * The belt is moved by the motor, you don't have to strain to start it. * On many treadmills, you can adjust the speed and incline while you are still walking or running. On others, you may have to get off and adjust the incline manually, but you just have to turn on the treadmill to start the belt again. Manual Treadmills - Speed With a manual treadmill, you go only as fast as you push yourself. If you slow, it slows. If you stop, it stops. Motorized Treadmill Speed and Workouts The speed is adjustable and many motorized treadmills have workout programs that adjust the speed to give you a varied workout. This pushes you to go faster. The constantly moving belt of a motorized treadmill motivates you to keep up. Costs Manual treadmills are relatively inexpensive, in the $100-200 US range. Motorized treadmills for home use cost from $750-$5000, and generally the more you pay, the better you get. Most motorized treadmills under $1000 have underpowered motors and are less sturdy and have fewer options for adjusting the incline, programmed workouts, etc.
