I have an perfectfit electric blanket. Yesterday the control would light up and then after five seconds turn off. I checked the connections. Can this be fixed? I love this blanket.

My best guess is maybe... If its the model where the controller can be unplugged from the blanket then i would try and get a new controller for it, if its the cheaper model they sell that the controller is permanently on a cord from the blanket then most likely not. The other problem is generally they shut off when there is an issue, it could be a broken connection or broken heating element in the blanket itself and its shutting back off due to the fault. So best suggestion i can make, see if you can find a replacement controller or contact their customer support about getting a replacement, if the controller costs almost as much as a new blanket then just get a new blanket. I know how nice an electric blanket is!!

Blanket flashes f2 when plugged in. I have plugged control into blanket and electrical outlet. It still flashes f2

Sometimes you have to unplug and re-plug the blanket multiple times. The control might reset itself. If that does not solve the problem, more than likely, you have a break in the heating element wire, or a control board issue. If you are proficient with an electrical tester, you can check continuity of the wire at the plug in. Depending on your model, you can also take a look inside the control for any broken solder connections, or loose wires. Otherwise, I'm afraid there is not much else to do.

I bought a place with intermatic malibu outdoor lighting. The wire on the light fixture was broken when bushes were taken out. I can't find any instructions on how to connect a new fixture to the...

Malibu low-voltage light fixtures come equipped with a quick-connect that is pressed onto the power cable to make connection to the wires within it. These quick-connects are handy, but they are also relatively fragile, subject to shorting/disconnections, and nearly impossible to repair. I have spliced a replacement connector's wire leads onto the wire leads from a broken fixture, but the connectors are nearly impossible to find (I remove mine from fixtures that are beyond repair). Perhaps the simplest and most effective repair is to strip small sections of the power cable, splice the fixture wire leads onto the cable (don't be overly concerned about matching polarity), and seal the splice with electrical tape and a silicone sealant.

I hope this information helps.

Repair to cord on control of electric blanket

the wires must match; a line molded in one and, a smooth side on the other. strip the wire ends and, twist them together one end to the other end that was broken then do the same on the other side wires. use wirenuts to protect the stripped ends.
