Fuses blow when a device such as a transistor is shorted. You might be able to see a blown part sometimes. If in doubt replace the semiconductor that does most of the work. It might be on a heat sink.

Will the Muteki sub amp work with a different receiver that has no trigger.

My subwoofer recently burnt out because I had it plugged into a different amplifier.. I wouldn't recommend it. Sony has released the sub to suit that system.. Do keep in mind that I did have bass boost on with the sub up full (Which didn't matter when I had it connected to the Sony amplifier..).

Proceed with caution.. I would recommend turning the sub down and using the sub volume control on the amplifiers settings to change the volume.. Just do not run it at a pace where it looks like it is stressing.. When I say stressing I mean, looking like it is going to jump out of the enclosure..

The fuse blows in the SA-WM500 whenever there is an input from the amplifier.

The fuse blowing is a symptom of something seriously shorted internally. What preceded the initial problem? Smoke is bad. Fire would be soon to follow without the fuse blowing. Take it to a tech.

A few days ago the subwoofer stopped working. Yesterday I turned the system on and it wouldn't work at all. I discovered the fuse had blown. I replaced the fuse, couldn't find a slow blow fuse so had to...

Try removing the wires to the subwoofer and then hook a "aa" battery to it and see if it makes a pop sound..this will tell you if speker is ok...if it is then I think the amplifier sectionj for the sub is what is blowing the fuses...you are probably right..it looks like it's a 1 A fuse...but if it's blowing right away..it may be circuitry related

I parelled one 15" q power subwoofer to my brideged pioneer amp.The amp got really hot and blew a fuse. How should I wire my dvc subwoofer to the briged amp.

Hello sir, hi, YOU DON'T bridge no more speakers, this upsets the impedance load of the amp. to install another sub-woofer, get another amplifier. You may have damaged your power amplifier, If you experience repeated fuse blows, your power amplifier is now SHORTED. This needs IC amplifier replacement.

Mission m-cube sub fuse keeps blowing

If you have replaced with the correct rating and the fuse blows off then you will need to check for higher current drain in the sub woofer or the network. After replacing the fuse load up the subwoofer slowly, reduce the bass and as you increase check at the point the fuse blows off. Now we need to analyse if the rating of the amplifier you are using is rated for the subwoofer. If your subwoofer has a higher rating you can increase the rating by about 25% and check again. Some amplifiers give a very higher voltage on full bass which could result in such a condition. Moderate this and check again. If the fuse stays Ok you can continue with this new rating.Otherwise the output of the amp at higher volume needs a confirmation. Hope this helps. Good day

My subwoofer fuse keeps blowing out , what might the problem be ?

There may be a loose wire inside that is moving from the bass and shorting out when it touches the wrong place inside. Check and see if that's what it is.

If not, try turning the Bass/Volume down some on the Subwoofer so it's not putting so much of a strain on the Amplifier.

Another thing you could try, but it's usually NOT recommended, is to use a fuse with a higher Amperage rating so it's a bit harder to blow.

I hope this helps :)

Best Regards,

James

Make sure your gain is turned all the way down. Unplug the RCA cables before hand. What does the subwoofer do when the amp powers on?
