Question about Sony HDR-SR11 Flash Media Camcorder
I'm considering buying a used Sony HDR-SR11 camcorder. It doesn't have the factory docking station that comes with the camcorder when you buy it new.
I want to know if you need this docking station to download the videos from the camcorder to my computor, or can I just purchase a USB cable to download.
What is the docking station exactly for?
When i connect my hdr camcoder to computer he show me one usb device attached to this computer has malfuctioned and windows does not recognize it.

A usb cable will work... the docking stations are handy as you just put the camera/camcorder into the docking station ... no extra cord... often has the charger built in as well
