Sounds like your compressor may be out. Have it checked.

I have a Coleman mach 3 ac unit. ive replaced everything except the compressor. the fan will come on but when i put it on ac it blows the fuse in the thermostat.


Fuse in the tstat?? First inspect the low voltage wire outside for imperfections, such as bare wires. Unhook the low voltage wires to condenser outside and cap with existing wire nuts. Then replace fuse and turn system on with cooling. If fuse still good then you have a short in the contactor coil in the condenser. Need new contactor. If fuse only blows when a call for cooling it's in the wire for low voltage or the contactor itself.

I have a 2000 lincoln continental and have recently replaced the thermostat due to over heating. after purging the coolant system the car will still 0ver heat am I not bleading the system right or is...


Provided the thermostat was put in right there are several things to check. Your engine is also air-cooled. There is a series of switches which work off of engine water temperature and the A/C setting. The electric cooling fan may have 2 speeds. If the electric fan motor or if the Relays or activation sensor do not work, the engine will not be cooled by air. The water cooling system is not good enough to do the job by itself.

The electric cooling system is fused and has a Relay.

Have someone look inside the radiator, if possible to try and see if the water is circulating. Remember the normal precautions about antifreeze spraying under pressure. If the radiator is clogged, it may need to be serviced.

Where can i find the fuse for the cooling fan for a 2000 mazda 626


There should be two fuses for the cooling fan relay in the main box near the battery.
You could have air pockets in the cooling system which would affect the temp sensor.

Control fuse keeps blowing on a htg/cooling call


There is a short somwhere in the low voltage circuit. Test the continuity of the remaindimg wires to ground, you should have no resistance, if you do have resistane the wire will have to be replaced. Also, the thermostat can have an internal short which can cause the fuse to blow.

If the blower works check for coolant in the cooling system. Test operation of thermostat. Check heater control valve for proper operation if equipped. Pressure test cooling system to ensure system holds pressure (this will help you identify a leak, if any. If car does not over heat and cooling system is in good working order, then the heater core is clogged.
If the blower does not work Check fuse, relay, wiring for short to ground, apply direct battery voltage to blower motor. If blower motor turns on and fuse/relay and wiring are ok replace the switch.

230/208 Volt Built-In Room Air Heat/Cool Unit blows cold air, not heat. Unsure if it may be thermostat, if so.. where is it? Another one blew fuse. Where is it located?


To locate the fuse;

1. Turn the power off or unplug the Room Air Heat/Cool unit.
2.Follow the power cord of the unit. This will normally
terminate at the fuse terminal/power reset button., where you can replace the fuse.
3. After the fuse/power reset button terminal the wire
go to a thermostat normally located at the air output
section at the front portion before it goes to the motor
and heating element, while the other wire may connect direct from the fuse terminal to the motor or
heating element.
This is just the basic electrical set up, it can be modi-
fied. Hope this will guide you in locating the fuse and
the thermostat.

is there a thermostat for the heater loop the same as for the radiator loop on your car cooling system.

1 some cars have thermostats to keep the water just round the engine when the engine is cold and then they open as the engine gets warm to get the water cooled it seems that the water is not coming to the heating circuit so there maybe a thermostat valve that is stuck in the closed position and needs replacement
2 alterativly the heat control lever mechanism is stuck in the cold position and needs to be freed up or the control valve replaced.
3if the system is electrically controlled with no manual levers for heat control then a fuse may have blown or some other electical problem in the heat control mechanism.

Range rover have no heat or ac


First thing I would do is check your fuses. If all of your fuses are intact, I would make the assumption that it must be the control assembly itself (your actual dash control unit) since to my knowledge it is the only point where the two exclusive systems (heating and AC) are integrated with each other, aside from sharing the duct and to some extent, the electrical system. Being that neither the heating NOR cooling system will work, it seems the only common denominator.

If you have blown fuse(s), remember that fuses almost never blow for no reason (wierd things DO happen on occasion!), and this is usually just a symptom of a deeper issue, such as a short or fault in your electrical system such as your fans, or other components, drawing too much current. Locked fan rotors will blow fuses, for example. Having to replace the fuse again in short order would indeed indicate the need to troubleshoot further.
