I opened my samsung v20 laptop and now my mouse pad dont work. There is a cable loose but i dont no where it goes.

Hello.. You have to put the ribbon cable back on to the mouse pad. there will be a socket under the deck lid where you need to reconnect the ribbon cable. there might be 2 little tabs on each side of the socket if there is, pull the tabs away from the socket carefully, slide the cable in the slot, and then slide the tabs back. that will lock the ribbon cable in. be careful. those sockets can get damaged easily. good luck !

Have just replaced power jack in samsung r40 keyboard working but cannot move the mouse help!!


check the cable attached to the motherboard, sometimes it just maybe loose, if the mouse pad has a seperate cable chances are it maybe just loose also

Mouse pad stopped working


Try to check in the device manager if you lost the driver of the pad, if not , you have to open the laptop and plug back the small cable connected to that pad, could be loose .

Lenovo n500 laptop ... mouse pad not working


The mouse pad maybe faulty or the ribbon cable from the mouse pad to the motherboard may not be properly connected. Reseat this cable.
You can connect an USB optical mouse to the laptop. I prefer you use a USB mouse all the time over the mouse pad.

No its a virus.
Not the case of loos cable.
I've faced same problems & re-formatting the system cured my problem.

If it works with an external keyboard and mouse then you need to replace the palmrest.

Samsung v20 display keeps going i have changed the screen cable


sounds like your new screen cable is either loose or faulty.i had same problem and was only after i had removed keyboard and ensured cable was tightly connected did i solve the problem.it seems to be a design fault in the samsung v20
