I tried to install Singer PSW2.00a on Windows 7 and I get the following messages: {c121466d-3abd-445a9eeb-13479378a9ae}/Install.exe could not be installed access is denied and error in...

Run the install.exe on the disk as administrator, even when it automatically does that, you still have to do that. If that doesn't work, contact Singer.

Will not run on Windows 7. Some have reported getting it to run on windows 7, but how they do it is a mystery

Run the Program Compatibility Wizard
  1. Open the Program Compatibility Wizard by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Use an older program with this version of Windows.

  2. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

If you cannot install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the wizard, browse to the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The wizard is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

How do i set up blueware.exe an application for my cell phone

I am sorry that you need such an application.

However, here is a list of currently supported phones:

If you phone is on the list have some possible solutions. First, install the BlackBerry software on your PC and connect your BlackBerry using the USB cable. Then try running the EXE on your PC. It should detect the connected BlackBerry and install it on the device. Otherwise, the BB software should allow you to copy the EXE to the device and so you can run it on the device.

Otherwise, contact the company that makes the software for more assistance.

Good luck!

I have problems installing Musicmatch Jukebox on my computer : for the old versions like mmjb 7 or 8, InstallShield Wizard does not respond ; for the version 10, some datas cannot be extracted : the...

try opting out of using the install shield wizard if it pops up automatically and explore the disk for an install.exe file. That might help get around the glitch. Check to make sure your system requirements are compatible with the software and if you're still frustrated, contact musicmatch tech support because I'm sure you're not the only person to have encountered this particular problem.

Desktop hijacked at the time of starting

Do this in order...its worked for others that had similar messages on long as your operating system is legit. Any time you deal with this type of work on the computer...know what your doing...altering your registry can have dire effects.

1. C:WindowsDownloaded Program Files
  • Within that folder, remove any files or folders associated with .WGA
2. Safe Mode
  • Reboot your computer and as soon as Windows logs off, start repeatedly tapping the F8 Key on your keyboard.
  • As soon as you see the Windows Advanced Startup options select Safe Mode within Safe Mode get yourself into these folders…
  • C:WindowsSystem32 (Rename wgatray.exe to wgatrayold.exe)
  • C:WindowsSystem32dllcache (Rename wgatray.exe to wgatrayold.exe)
Note: Dllcache is a hidden folder, to view hidden folders do the following, go to Start, Control Panel, Folder Options,
Select the view Tab and under the Hidden Files option, select Show hidden files and folders
3. Safe Mode Registry
  • Click on Start, Run and within the open dialog box type regedit and click OK.
  • Within the Registry Editor navigate your self to
  • Right Click and Export the WGALOGON Folder (this should be saved onto your machine for backup purposes)
  • After Exporting the folder, DELETE the WGALOGON folder
  • After deleting close all applications and Restart your machine back to Normal Mode
  • Get into the site above and manually re-validate your copy of Windows.
  • After being prompt of a successful validation, Restart your Machine

Cannot install Nero 9

I had the same problem after a previous bad installation of Nero.
I solved it by completely removing that installation.
Check that these folders are deleted:
\program files\Ahead\Nero
and more important:
\program files\common files\Nero

Then clean your registry and re-install

Here is a procedure (pasted below) which a Beta tester of CounterSpy developed having to remove and re-install various versions and running into the same problem you described. I would suggest reading through the discussion thread (CLICK HERE) before proceeding.

Hope this will FixYa!!!

Manual Uninstallation of CounterSpy 2.x

1.Open Task Manager and be sure none of these three are listed
a) SBCSSvc.exe (CP service)
b) SBCSTray.exe (tray icon)
CounterSpy.exe (CS main app)
If any are listed click "End Process"

2. Be sure the CS directory is gone. The standard location is C:\Program Files\Sunbelt Software\CounterSpy

3. Remove additional folders that may be located at these three places:
a) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application\Data\Sunbelt Software
b) C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Sunbelt Software
c) C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Sunbelt Software

4. Run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. If anything is listed for Sunbelt CounterSpy, select and hit "remove".

5. Look in C:\Windows\Downloaded Installations and
C:\Program Files\Downloaded Installations
you should see one or more sub-folders with names like
{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX} where the X's are random numbers. In each sub-folder will be an .msi file. Right click the .msi file and select properties. Look in the summary tab for indications that the .msi is an installer for Sunbelt CounterSpy. Delete the sub-folder, the one with all the numbers (do not delete the \Download directory folder)

6. Look in C:\Windows\Installer directory where you will find .msi files. Again, right-click each .msi and select properties. If any .msi files are Sunbelt CounterSpy, delete only those .msi files.

7. Look in C:\
if you have any {XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX} delete those folders.

8. Open Computer Management console utility (Control Panel-->Admin. Tools-->Computer Management) and select the Device Manager then click on View and select "Show hidden devices" . Expand the Non Plug and Play Drivers tree and scroll down until you find the SBHR device driver. Right-click on it and select uninstall.
The console will prompt you to reboot. Do so. If you don't find any SBHR device driver, there is no need to reboot.

9. You need to download a zip file at the bottom of my post. Follow the directions to be sure it is clean before you use it.

10. Check C:\Windows\System32 for the following 6 files and remove any if they are present:
a) SBAPIFS.sys
b) SBBD.exe
c) SBProt.sys
d) SBRC.dat
e) SBFC.dat
f) eSellerateEngine.dll

I also had a file SBProt.bak and asked if it was safe to remove; it was.

11. Check C:\Windows\System32\Drivers for the following three files and remove if any are present:
a) SBTEDrv.sys
b) SBHR.sys
c) SBAPIFS.sys

12. Last, if you have any Sunbelt CounterSpy desktop, tray or start menu icons remove them and reboot.
