Question about Fantom Vacums Lighting Canister Vacuum
Occasionally there are power surges in the power head which causes the brushes to stop, but the main vacuum continues to work. Brushes are also worn down after all these years. Can I replace just the power head and if so, where would I find a new part.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

remove the covers over the headlights and under the shiny foul. there are two screws. there are two tabs that hold down the cover over the wheels, they just pop on/off with a click.
on my xt. i had to remove the rolling brush and clean out all the hair that was stuck in the bearings. remove the screw holding down the motor and belt. pry out the roller brush to get to the bearings. there was some serious hair ball in there.
reassembled mine and it works perfectly now :)
