Unscrew the cap on your magazine tube. Remove the sping and turn the gun up side down and the plug should fall out.

Mossberg model 88 manual

Open the slide and make sure it's empty....and then close the slide halfway so the bolt is halfway in the eject port. That unlocks the bolt lug from the barrel. Unscrew the barrel take down screw. Remove barrel. If the take down screw is overly tight, use pliers with a leather or canvas padding to avoid scratching the screw. When reassembling it, just tighten it tight by hand. Use no tools. It's not designed to tighten with tools. Hand tight is perfect.

Diagnostic port location

It does not have one as it does not have an ECU if you are asking about the North American Maverick. The European Maverick OBD plug is located on the driver's side under the edge of the dash

I'm guessing that's model R-230HW?

If so, then I'd suspect you need the controller repaired.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
