Question about Samsung Washing Machines
Dv210AGW/XAA dry will turn on when I press the on botton but the drum does not turn nor does the heat come on when I press start. Also, tested on auto and maual, nothing. Should also note that I tested with and without cloths, nothing still. And the clock does not count down but left on, the dry thinks it completed and the wrinkle free alarm sounds and then it ends. I opened the unit and the belt is fine, drum spins manualy and/or if I spin it via the fan attached to the motor. any clues into the issue. Oh, lastly, ran it last night with a light load, no issues. this morning, put in a pair of jeans and nothing."

Hi all, thanks for your comments. to note, it's my dryer not my washer so the suggested solutions wont work. Also, forgot to note, the unit is only 14 months old and just out of warranty. What I've done so far:
- vacuumed the filter
- striped the dryer, meaning removed top. front and small exhaust panel in the back
- vacuumed everything
- checked the belt, tight, not loose, broken or off the roles
- child safty not enguaged, toggled it anyway to be safe
- the checked micro switch next to belt by motor, not engaged
put it all back, turned on with nothing, tried every setting in auto and manual tied high to low temps and times, the time is noted, such as 40 min, but does not time down, over time, the unit sound the I'm done tone, if left as is, continues to chime then end like it did something. all along, the drum never rotated nor did it heat up.
Does one impact the other, such as if the drum does not roll then the heater wont start or vise-a-versa. Could the control panel have taken a hit or are there sensors that might have shut down to prevent the unit from starting are there fuse's that I didn't see that might have been tripped.

you know, this does happen.
run it on a full cycle, warm, with either of these in solution.
baking soda, at 1/10 concentration
non chlorine bleach, at 1/6 concentration
you most likely need to do this more than once, until your nose is happy.
Also, consider doing this at least once every 200 wash cycles.
essential oils have same effect, and do a nice anti microbial as well.
we did this in commercial laundries all the time, as part of standard health code compliance issues.
