SOURCE: Cannot turn the receiver on - when I push the

YOU MAY HAVE A PROBLEM IN THE OUTPUT SECTION OF THE AMPLIFIER AND THUS ACTIVATING THE PROTECTION CIRCUITRY. MAKE SURE IT IS NOT BEING CAUSED BY BAD SPEAKERS. REMOVE THE SPEAKERS, THEN POWER THE RECEIVER UP WITH THIS NO SPEAKER LOAD CONDITION. IF IT STILL GOES INTO PROTECTION, THEN THE RECEIVER WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED. THIS IS ALL YOU CAN DO AT THIS POINT, AS YOU HAVE MADE SURE THAT THE INSTALLATION IS NOT CAUSING THE PROBLEM, AND THE SERVICE OF THE AMPLIFIER OR POWER SUPPLY SECTION IS VERY INVOLVED AND TECHNICAL IN NATURE. IF YOU SEND IT IN FOR REPAIR, I SUGGEST SENDING IT TO THE SONY REPAIR CENTER, AS THEY HAVE A FLAT-RATE REPAIR FOR THESE RECEIVERS AND YOU WONT BE CAUGHT OFF-GUARD WITH A HIGH PRICED REPAIR. YOU CAN CONTACT THEM AT SONY STLYE=800-571-7669 OR TRY 800-222-7669. THEY WILL TELL YOU WHICH OF THE FOUR REPAIR FACILITIES TO SEND IT TO AND ALSO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE RMA AND FLAT-RATE REPAIR COST. LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE.....V

Kdl-46s2010 Turns itself off, standby light does not flash to show fault

This might be your main board on the tv. If the tv is still under warranty I would bring it back in for repair.

The red standby light flashes and when the power button is pushed the green light comes on with a clicking soung then it turns back off and the red standby light starts flashing again

One of the boards (module) has a short on it, and or the power supply itself is failing.
The service center will find the fault using the process if elimination. They will replace the bad boards or modules as required to get the set working again.

Sony Trinitron Wega Standby blinks & the TV won't turn on

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Same thing

More Info please, it will usually go to standby if camera turned off or after the meter shuts down after a predetermined time (nikon default setting in camera is usually 6 secs.).
So if you switch camera back on or push shutter release to wake up metering system flash should automatically come out of standby.
Or you can push the on / off button for approx 1 / 2 secs. this will wake it up , then turn it off. Hope this may help Ian

Sony LBT W5000

According to Page 46 of the LBT-W5000 Operating Instructions:
"The display stars flashing as soon as you plug in the power cord even though you haven't turned on the system (demonstration mode).
Press DISPLAY (for LBT-W5000 / W300 / XB700 / XB500) or DEMO (STANDBY) (for other models) while the system is off. If the system is in the Power Saving mode, press POWER SAVE / DEMO (STANDBY) (for LBT-W5000 / W300 / XB700 / XB500). The demonstration appears automatically the first time you plug in the power cord, or if there is a power outage lasting longer than half a day."
I tested this today, as my LBT-W5000 was in Demonstration Mode. It definitely works. The only catch is (at least on the W5000), and it's a minor one, you have to reset your clock afterwards.
