Just finished about 6 hours with HP chat line abd they finally said they had done everything they could and I should reboot to see if anything took. It didn't. I didn't think my 1210 was so old but it will not run with any other HP drivers.

Believe me, I'm sorry to say that.

Vista has the drivers for the HP psc 2110 embedded in the OS.

So, you should be able to print, with the default drivers. But, you will not be able to scan as of right now, unless someone releases an update for the HP PSC scanning software. I doubt that will happen, as these all in one's are so old.

Such a good little printer/ scanner/ copier too.. kind of sad to think its that obsolete that its not compatible for scanning.

Ok.. I figured out how to scan in Vista.

    1)Click "Windows" button.
    2)Click All Programs.
    3)Click Accessories.
    4)Click Paint.
5)Click File and then click From Scanner or Camera.
    6)Click Scan.

Worked for me! thank god, didnt want to get rid of my printer, i just bought three new black inks from Sams club, lol

HP psc 2110 all-in-one wont print from internet

I'm assuming you went to the HP site and downloaded the Vista drivers??? Other than that try this:

  1. From Control Panel > printers... uninstall all printers.
  2. Unplug USB cable to printer and re-boot.
  3. Install Software.
  4. Plug USB cable back in.
Hope that fixes Ya...

Will print but won't scan with Vista

go to the system control panel and de install any of this devices drivers completely, unplug the device from the system.

power down the device and the system.

power up the system and device.

after windows is completely started then plug the device usb cable in to the system, do not use a hub, plug directly into one of the motherboards usb ports.

windows vista is supposed to have all required drivers already on board.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00808543&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=79488&lang=en

the link above is hp's site about connecting and testing your device.

if after all this and it still doesnt work try a different usb port on the motherboard and start again.

i have 6 usb ports on my motherboard and my hp printer will not work on the bottom rear port only, it works on all the others, and the strange thing is that everything else i have works with that bottom rear port, just not this printer.

Can't install to Vista HP PSC 1210

Use Paint.
It's not ideal, but I can scan with my HP PSC 1205 running Vista when I use Paint. Just click 'file' then 'from Scanner or Camera'.
Works a treat.
