SOURCE: problems with sound that is coming from computer (output monitoring)

The first thing you should do is to uninstall the EDIROL UA-101 USB2 Driver Ver.1.0.3 for Windows XP and reinstall the system. If the problem persist try to use other usb cable, if the problem still the same please let me know inorder to make another procedure to follow to identify the problem.

Hope this will be helpful.

SOURCE: Edirol UA-25 not working on Mac OS X

I had the same problem. When I installed the Edirol software it prompted to 'reboot' and when it restarted all the lights on the Edirol came on.
Why don't you try it like that.
Hook up the Edirol Install the software Reboot
Best of luck Victoria

How do I adjust the volume on ASUS 19

if the volume is too low and your monitor cant be raised more, youll have to use another form of audio. Try headphones or speakers. Monitor speakers are cheap and unreliable so often they dont get loud enough for people's needs.

I cant get sound on my viewsonic va520

You need to add some information - what is the source for the video that you are viewing on the VA520? The VA520 has no speakers in it. If it is a desktop computer, look on the back of the computer for a green 3.5 mm stereo audio port. This is your speaker out connection. Plug in any set of computer speakers or headphones. (Computer speakers may require a USB connection or to be plugged into an AC outlet to power the speakers.) You can find cheap speakers for under $20; good speakers will be more expensive. With a laptop or some desktops, you'll find a headphone jack on the front of the computer. (This will be labeled with a small picture of a set of headphones.) The headphone jack is also a 3.5 mm stereo port.

I hope this helps.

(laptops usually have internal speakers; most desktops do not have any internal speaker anymore. If you have headphones with RCA audio plugs, you can use a RCA F/F to 3.5 mm M audio adapter to use them with the computer. A stereo system may not work with a computer.)

I have connected my BX-5a monitors to the fast track audio pre-amp with 1/4 inch to RCA adapters, which is connected to my Mac book pro. I am still not getting any sound out of the monitors. What do I do?

I would suspect the Mac isn't passing any audio out. Test it with headphones before we troubleshoot the audio hardware. OR, connect a different audio source to the preamp to see if it works with something less complex than a Mac.

I hooked up my Mackie MR5 Monitors to my MacBook Pro through an audio interface, I use it to record my band in the studio I use out of my basement. Except everytime I try to use the monitors they give me...

try hooking headphones to the output and see if the crackling is still there.

then, try it with the speakers, at a lower computer voume level and higher speaker volume level. perhaps the headphone output is too loud and distorting in the speaker inputs.

Problem with stereo output on Edirol FA-66

Possibly, your adapter of small to big is not a stereo adapter. Seems like a mono adapter.

Low sound in headphone

I would say it is because the unit does not have a built in amplifier. The speakers are powered PC speakers of studio monitors I am guessing. Try plugging the headphones into the headphone jack of the speakers if they have a headphone jack or try a set of powered headphones out of the Edirol and see if it helps.

That should remedy the problem.

Problem with FA-66

Judging from the wiring diagram on the cover, the headphones are connected to the same output lines as 1 & 2. When you increase or lower the monitors. So do the headsets. The only way to get around it is to find a pair of headsets with at volume control into the wiring of the headsets or plug the monitors into outputs 3 & 4.

Here is the book I saw

Edirol ua25 jack speaker output

Your are using powered speakers right? Or going into an amp and then the speakers, as the UA-25 does not have enough power to drive passive speakers.
Call Roland customer service and have them walk you through the device setup to make sure you've got everything right.

Edirol UA-25

A computer has line out and that means sound out from the computer to your speakers. A line out can also be connected to a recording device or a pair of speakers with an amp built in. Line in on a computer can be used to record audio from other equipment such as a Dj on his decks to record his set. It can also record audio from mp3 players etc. Line in can be used for mic's and also you can use mic in as well. To record any audio onto your computer use line in. Line out can also used for headphones and the mic will plug into mic in so you can talk online.
