Daniel here is the problem because I thought the same. The equalizer has preinstalled input and output connectors. I have no way of connecting my turntable directly to the equalizer because it also has a preinstalled output cable. The equalizer is a Mitsubishi DA-G108 and the turntable is a 1976 Technics SL-1300. Both items are of the same vintage, so I don't know why they aren't compatible.

There should be the connections from the turntable connected to the input of the equalizer then the output of the equalizer to an amp
Some turntables require a preamp so refer to your turntable manual.
(Some equalizers act as a preamp) You wont hurt it by trying it.

Studiomaster manual

On the rear panel there are two jack socket marked: Left and Right Insert.
These are connected to the graphic equalizer using two insert cables, one for each channel ( L & R). The cables have a stereo 6.35mm jack plug which plugs into the mixer, the cable splits into two mono jack plugs marked tip (or send) and ring (or return). The send (tip) connects to the input of the graphic equalizer and the return (ring) connects to the output of the graphic equalizer. How it works: The stereo jack interrupts the signal in the mixer and sends it to the equalizer, the equalizer processes the signal then sends it back to the mixer. Typical cable is shown below. If the equalizer has a different type of socket, phono for example you will need jack to phono adapters or insert cables with suitable plugs. Hope this helps.

Hooking up EQ to RECIEVER for a TECHNICS MODEL SH-8017

You'll need 4 connections total. On my integrated amp, I connected the four connections to all Line In and Line Out ports. And the other ends into the tape 2/EXTRA ports respectively.

Bog standard TT connected to a bog standard receiver. Hmmm.

Aai have the following AKAI Audio Stereo System and no Idea how to connect them. Please help Akai Model AP-D210 turntable Akai model CS-F14 Stereo cassette deck Akai model AT-K110 Fm Am Tuner Akai...

In general, outs to ins.

If nothing else, get the manuals for the preamp and the EQ. You'll probably have to pay for them.

Google it.

Akai PR-A04 preamplifier << This is the control center and where everything comes together.

Akai AP-D210 turntable (ONLY to jacks that say "PHONO"
Akai EA-G40 Stereo Graphic Equalizer (in the Tape 1 Out/In set)
Akai CS-F14 Stereo cassette deck (in the Tape Out/In set of the EQUALIZER) *
Akai AT-K110 Fm Am Tuner (to the Tuner inputs)
Akai DT-100 Audio Tuner (to the Aux inputs)
Akai PA-W04 Amplfier (to the amp outputs)

* This will allow you to Equalize the Tape on the Record or the Playback side.

Read some audio magazines or websites. Get to understand Tape Monitor Loops.

Don't use excessive EQ.

We took our separates system apart to move it and know we cant remember what wire goes where at the back!!! we have turntable, equalizer, amp, cd player

start with the most basic ie; your amp is the recipient for all your cables so start with the cd cables into the cd phono inputs, then the turntable to the phono inputs. finally, your graphic into either the auxillary phonos or alternatively into the tape 2 phonos. good luck.
