Question about GE Refrigerators
I have a GE model #GSL22JFPCBS. (side by side fridge/freezer) I first noticed a problem when the freezer stopped making ice. Everything in the freezer has started to thaw and the bottom portion of the freezer seems to still be cold. I noticed the back top wall of the freezer is covered in frost. The lights are on and all appears to be working. Just not cooling enough to freeze and make ice! I tried unplugging but no change. Any ideas what this could be? I hope to replace the part myself if I can.
Thank you in advance,
Well countney778 it sounds like either your drain is clogged upo and holding water in the freezer or your defrost timer is bad. the timer shoiuld be by the thermostat area and the drain is at the boittom of the coil that is currently freezing. also look underneith and if you see abunch of dirt then you may have to clean the coil on the bottom of the unit. use a shop vac and a long brush to clean.
