Hp dv7-2043cl model NM101UA location of wifi adaptor in laptop so I may replace it.

I have a replacement WiFi adapter but I need to physically locate the current WiFi adapter in the laptop so I may replace it. Is there a blown-up diagram available on web of hp dv7-2043cl model NM101UA or similar model so I can locate WiFi adapter?

SOURCE: wifi - packard bell laptop

I sometimes have the same problem and usually it's because the router somehow looses connection with the laptop. You may require a stronger router/different kind of router. Have you tried to move the location of your router first to see if that could be one of the problems ?

Hope this works for you.

You can drive around with your laptop,You cannot look at the indicator and know when your near a "station" .You can however look at the wireless status page and see any available "stations". The led simply says that your wireless is turned on.You cannot do anything with the laptop turned off.You only need drivers if you don't have wireless drivers already loaded.

Hope this answered all your question.

Make sure that wifi is enabled in wireless switch utility. You can find that in the system tray next to the clock.

SOURCE: I have hp pavilion dv4 laptop . The wifi is disabled by itself!

Your laptop goes into power save mode once the power suppply is disconnected. WIFI consumes a large amount of power so the system shuts it down to save power. You can disable it by going into control panel and power options. There you can change the power settings to allow wifi to run when using battery.

Hello.

Test your laptop at a different location to see if any difference.

If still the network adapter, first try to update the driver by going to Device Manager, find the network adapter and select update. You'll actually be reinstalling the current driver software.

If still a problem, the network adapter would need to be physically removed and replaced.

Hope this helps.

Just bought a ASUS 1015 peb netbook- also have a phone router with iwi-fi-cannot figure out how to connect it to the netbook

if you have a built in wifi adapter, open your network connections icon in the control panel with a right click and send a short cut to your desk top, youll probably be using this short cut a couple of times. then left double click on the desk top network connections icon to open it.you should see all the devices in use on your laptop including your wifi adapter if you have one. right click on your wifi adapter, it should have a red x thru it. scoll to properties at the bottom, click on it it will open up the wireless properties. if windows is configuring your adapter youll see a connections tab in the center, click that and the big box at the bottom youll see a add button. click that add your wifi routers info there. if theres no connections tab go to programs and locate the utility for your wifi adaptor because your utility is controlling the wifi. open the utility, add the wifi router info as before when related to windows configuration. you should be good to go.

Is this model wifi enabled

You have not given your laptop specific model number! In any case, the Presario 2200 series of laptop normally come with Wifi adapter as standard. To check, use windows 'Device Manager' and locate the 'Network adapters' node: this will tell you for certain what network adapters are available.
Hope it helps. Let me know how you go or if you need further assistance.

HOW DO I TURN ON THE WIRELESS CAPABILITY ON MY HP LAPTOP?

All depends on the Model laptop... Most All DV Series HP Laptops have a physical switch that you turn on and off (a slide switch).. It is located on the front, just under the lip of the touchpad on the left side... You can look on the front and both sides for a WiFi switch...

If you do not have a switch.....

You need to use your Function Key Combination..

The Fn Key is located down by your space bar to the left of it...It is your Function Key....

Pressing this and a corresponding F key (F1-F2-F3-F4.. etc...)

Look at the F keys, You will notice Icons as well on the individual keys.. usually in blue or grey color....

When The Fn (Function) Key Is Held Down - You can acces the secondary key options...

You Should See A WiFi Icon on one of them keys...

Press Fn and the "F" Key that has the WiFi icon Together...

The wireless card will find any available access points. If you take the laptop to a location with wifi, the wireless card will find the wifi spot. Just open the wireless software you are using and ask it to refresh the wireless networks and you should see your wifi.

If you don't see your wifi but have confirmed your wireless network card works in other locations with other routers then take a look at your router configuration.

Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you.

Need to extract bluetooth module.

The bluetooth module is normally intergrated with the WIFI. If you open the memory compartment underneath you will see a seperate card which will have 2 wires connected to it black and white..

thats the WIFI chip with the integrated BT.. you'll have to replace that.

Is your WIFI working btw?
