Same problem on Panasonic SA-AK78, changed the output IC501 and still F61 is there. I bought the electronic layout schematic, there is a small variation between the circuit I have and the one showed on the schematic.

So I am still investigating this problem.

And if the fan does not turn on power up??

Power supply voltage flow is hard to follow as it goes to 3 PC board for either validation or then voltage reduction or regulation.

Check that the fans are working they should start on power up. If they do its probably the output IC. (not cheap around $100) for the part.

Hi ahamedfaisal,
Does F61 appear after a minute of playing or shuts down immediately after you power on the unit?

PROBLEM F61 ON MY EQUIPMENT AND SHUT DOWN

You possibly took out the output ic by crossing speaker wires or touch one to the case when the other was in the terminal. (turn off and unplug when moving speaker wires)

Before taking it in remove all wires unplug power cord wait 30 seconds and plug just the power cord and turn on. If it still goes to f61 it's going to most likely need the output ic replaced.
$70-90 labor and about $100 for the part.

Panasonic SC-HT995 locked

check the fan, if its dusty clean it then run the player. If it works, your in luck. If the fans are moving and f61 still shows up, the D-amp IC is shortened ( inside you will see IC 5000/IC5200 / IC 5300, these needs to be replaced) its the one by the big cooling fins (behind the rear fan)

F61 error

The F61 error message is effectively a "protect mode" message indicating that a problem was detected and that the system hasbeen shut down to prevent further damage. This is typically caused by a bad output amplifier pac or regulator. If you can post the specific model number, I'll try to get you the part numbers and costs.

Error Message F61

Hi guys,
just had the f61 error code on my home theatre system, now i work with samsung dvds and tv's so the background knowledge is there ( i hope), i dont know if u guys noticed the fans making a noise whenever you switched it on before the fault happened but mine were making a hell of a noise, this prompted me to have a look inside and find 2 fans both of which were very dusty, just a 10 minute clean and a 10 min reassemble and im back up and running on all channels.

hope this helps guys

The F61 indicates a problem detected in the output amp stage and the unit us shutdown to prevent further damage. If you can supply the model number, I can give you the part required and the approximate cost.

F61

Sound amplifier ic??******** this guy is talking out of his ***.
F61 relates to fan error. There are two fans, one of them is either spinning too slowly or not at all.
This fan can be purchased in any computer store. Just remove it and take it with you.
