Possible to increase RAM on Dell PR03S?

I have a Dell Laptop model PR03S and am wondering if it is possible to increase the RAM by myself. If so, where can I find out what type of RAM and get instructions.

I have already been to the Dell site, and numerous memory sites.

Dell was one of the early pioneers in laptop computers. If you have aDell Inspiron, Lattitude or other Dell laptop computer, you may be ableto speed it up and boost its performance by adding more RAM
How to Add RAM to Your Dell Step1 Power down your laptop. Unplug the power cord and remove the battery. Step2Use an ESD wrist strap or other method to ground yourself. This isimportant to prevent static electricity from damaging your computer. Step3 Check the user manual or service manual for the location of the Memory Access door. On most Dell laptops it is located on the bottom of your computer. Step4 Open the memory access door by removing the two small screws that hold the door in place. Step5 Use your fingertips to gently spread the securing clips at either side of the memory module until it pops up. Step6 Remove the RAM module from the connector by sliding it backwards from the slot at a 45-degree angle. Step7 Align the notch in the bottom of the RAM module with the tab in the connector slot. Step8 Slide the module firmly into the slot at a 45-degree angle. Step9 Rotate the module downward until the securing clips click into place. Step10 Replace the memory access door. Step11 Replace the battery and power up the computer to be sure that the RAM is recognized.

Hi,
Your best bet on upgrading the RAM in your laptop yourself is to contact a dell representative and ask for advice on this. If i am correct you can buy laptop RAM from any computer hardware shop/website. I hope I helped.

You can upgrade the RAM providing you have the slots available.
The maximum supported RAM in windows 7 is 4GB. You will find the serial number on the bottom of the laptop, possibly in the battery bay. You can use the following scanner to check the required RAM.

If I want to add more memory beyond the 8gb max from the MFR, will it work?

You cannot add more RAM that the recommended max. specified by the manufacture.
If you could install more than it 8Gb, either the laptop won't work OR it cannot access more than 8Gb of RAM.

Sharing ram with graphic card memory

If its possible which I haven't been able to find info on, you can press the F2 button as you turn on the laptop to get into the BIOS and check in the different settings there to see if you can do it. If you don't see the option for it then it can't be done.

I am trying to find a video card to upgrade my Dell c610 the card is currently 16Mb. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to advise you, your Dell is a laptop and laptops have a built-in video chip on the motherboard and it cannot be upgraded or changed.
The video card used shared RAM, ie it uses part of the main RAM module/s, You maybe be able to increase the video RAM size in the BIOS, but this will reduce the main memory, so you might want to upgrade the RAM in the DELL.
You only other alternative is to buy a later model laptop.

I have a dell inpiron 1501 is it possibe to upgrade my graphics in any way?

Dear Sir,

Welcome to Fixya Expert zone,

By analyzing your Dell laptop model it comes with inbuilt graphics card.So you cant able to replace your graphics card, and also it is not possible to install another internal graphic card.So solution is you can buy and install external USB graphics card.

I think it helps to resolve your laptop issue. If you have any problem regarding this issue leave a feedback we were happy to assist you.

Have a nice day!

Ps2 to laptop dell model pr03s x2000

I am assuming you are trying to connect your PS2 (game console) to your laptop so you can play using the laptop screen.

This is not possible. I have not seen a laptop with video in and the specs for your laptop model Pr03s X200 does not specify this either.

The plugs on the laptop is for output only.
