Booster pump will not come on all the time

Checked booster pump and wiring and both are fine. Booster pump will move slightly from power board switch in Service Mode and sometimes come on. Motor shows power on terminals but motor won't work. Repeatily press button on power board to get motor to turn on. Sometimes turns itself off after a few minutes, sometimes stays on until button is pressed to turn off.

Spa has 20amp fuse that blows whenever I either restart spa or turn on jet pump. I disconnected pump and it ran fine until I restarted the spa and fuse blew again.

something is drawing a load when it shouldnt be. remove all circ pumps, booster pumps, and disconnect heater element. turn on hot tub and see if it trips. then do the same, re connecting the element, and pumps, one at a time. when it does trip, thats where the problem lies. bad pump or element

RS 4 not one touch

Is there a different button that turns your cleaner on? Depending on the version you have, the aux that you have the blower attached to is the default aux for the booster pump. The auxiliaries may need to be cleared and relabeled, and the relays rewired to get the booster pump on its default relay, and the blower on one of the others.

A heavy water leak as soon as we turn on the jets. Is it one of the jets leaking or something else?

circ pump and booster pumps are different. circ pump is on during filtration cycles aswell as the heating element. booster pumps run the remaining jets. if you are only losing water when the jets are turned on, then start looking under the tub skirt for leaks within the jets and the plumbing

I have a Beachcomber Model 350 hot tub abd the GFCI is tripped and won't reset

You may have a bad heating element. But first make sure you have power to the gfci. (check the braker) You can test this by disconnecting the heater leads and see if it will reset. If it still trips try disconnecting your equipment one at a time, ie. blower, ozone, circ pump, booster pumps. If nothing solves the gfci issue you need to replace the gfci. All of this is assuming you have a blank gfci receptical monted to your spa pack.

If your talking about the 50 amp gfci at the braker box try pushing the braker all the way to the off position then back to the on possition. If it trips right away do the above.

I just bought and installed a new intelliflo variable speed pump and now my Hayward pool sweep does not move to the shallow end. It only cleans the deep end and even that is not cleaned well. It seems to...

Thank you for posting your question here on

It is a pressure side cleaner...the booster pump only boosts the main pumps output pressure so much. Lowering the main pump output, the booster WILL NOT compensate by increasing its output. Lowering the pressure to the cleaner head will cause what you describe. Turn the new pump up to full speed to clean the pool then down lower to circulate water for chemical balance and maintenance.
