Question about Whirlpool LEN2000PW Dryer
Dryer spins but does not heat. After I replaced the heating element it worked again. But then I replaced the cutoff and hi-limit thermostats as well and it no longer works. With multimeter checked for short circuits and continuity across the thermostats, heating element, and thermal fuse and detected no problem. At the thermal block, got 120 at each of the two leads, but instead of 240 got voltage off the meter combined. What should I do now? Thanks.
Its a good possibility that you have lost the nuteral connection at the power block or the receptical .

Remove 1 wire from the element . Your 220 V comes from ...110 motor , 110 control board . Check which wire is not getting 110 V , trace it and see which it comes from . That will tell you which one is defective .

SOURCE: can't control heat setting
Either your dryer vent is clogged, the blower wheel is striped out and not turning or the internal bias thermostat you bought is bad. These are the only things that can make the dryer over heat.
Please rate solution.

out Heat let it run for about 2 full minutes If you dryer is still putting out Heat get back to me
