Ive only been using my pump for 10 days and its already lost most of its suction. Can this be fixed?

Take back wherever you got it and get your money back. I am a Pediatric nurse with a specialty in Neonatal ICU. So many of moms had to pump for extended periods of time so they needed a great pump.I also ****** fed all three of my kids for over a year each, one for three years do to severe medical issues so I know my ****** pumps. Many hospitals have lactation consultants and rent out hospital grade pumps. You can also rent ****** pumps from home health equipment stores. I always rented the hospital model of the Medula ****** pump. Yes it was large, but I loved that I could pump both sides at one time and have about four ounces each ****** in just ten minutes. It is worth every penny. Enjoy that baby they grow up too fast. Have a great day.

My pool filter pump will not self-prime after I change the filter.

Make sure the pump pot has enough water in it to make the pump **** the water up the suction line.there isn't anything clogging the suction line? Make sure there isn't anything restricting the flow of water to the suction

Need instruction and advice on how to hard plumb my above ground pool.

You have to find out what are your suction ports (for example skimmer would be one you probably don't have a main drain)once you have all suction ports located pipe separately back to pump and create a manifold so that you can isolate each suction port with a valve on each line then tie all back into a single line then into suction side of pump then pipe return side of pump back to the return ports of pool installing a valve as you come out of pump you don't have to separate these lines.

Suction on vacuum is low, pressure in filter is low and pump appears to be louder then normal what's the problem

If pressure gauge on filter is low, then most likely problem is obstruction is suction side of plumbing, which includes a clogged impeller. double check impeller, this can be hard to get to without unbolting the two halves of pump, separating the two, and removing the diffuser so that you can fully inspect the impeller. You can try using a wire with a little barb on the end and trying to pick at the center of the impeller from within the pump pot (where the basket goes), but if this doesn't reveal anything, taking pump apart to reveal impeller is the best bet. Before you take the pump apart, (or after if you've already done so.) make sure pump basket, skimmer basket, and any leaf traps are cleaned out. Make sure any valves on the suction side are fully open to allow as much flow as possible. (you can open and close these later to single out the problem if it is a plugged vac line) Disconnect the cleaner from the wall or skimmer to eliminate a clogged cleaner from the possible causes. A bad o-ring, or air leak somewhere can also cause low, or bad suction. so make sure the pump lid o-ring is sealing properly. Also check the pipe that goes into the pump (suction side) If this is loose, or letting air into system, that will also affect suction. You should be able to find your problem if you check all the above. If not let me know by posting a comment, and I'll help you further. Every pool, and equipment are different, and there are endless possibilities to where your problem can be, but eventually you can narrow it down to the problem. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

Intex 633 lost suction

I have seen a common problem when customers change / clean their filter is that put the DRY clean filter in the skimmer box or filter holder and sometimes it can cause an "air lock"
Just take your garden hose put in the intake outlet of your pool and turn that baby on....If you start seeing air bubbles on the discharge end of the line most likely that was your trouble.
If the problem still persist then at that time look into pump repair / replacement.
Good Luck!

No sution

Remove the dust bin and disassemble it clean out all lint and dust that could stop the impeller from turning. Once it is cleaned out test the fan motor with a powersupply on the terminals to see if the fan turns. If it does not, then replace the fan unit.

How to set up my onga pump and filter its about 8 years old but looks like the currant model.just got it and they didnt have instructions bugger.

We begin at the suction line. I'll assume that you will be using this as a
pool pump since you have a filter. At the suction line, install a horizontal
or a vertical check valve along the suction pipe. Then the suction pipe
is connected to the bottom pipe adapter of the filter. The top pipe adapter of the filter shall be connected to the pump suction adapter. At the pump discharge adapter, install a GI Pipe Tee. At the bottom of the GI pipe tee, put a GI nipple going to the pump discharge adapter. Opposite it shall be the pipe plug to serve as the priming port. At the GI pipe cross, install a GI nipple about 6-inch long with a service **** to balance water flow. At the end of the service **** install another 6-inch GI nipple to attach a gate valve to control water flow. After the gate valve
is the discharge pipelines going back to the pool.

Note: Pump must be installed within 3 to 5 meters near the water source. You may install more than 5 meters but suction could be difficult for the pump.

Priming the pump:

Open the plug at the tee that serves as the priming port, Fill this up with
water to full level with the service **** at full close position. Once filled
up, replace and close the priming port. Put the power on, and start the
pump running, then slowly open the service **** or flow control valve
to appropriate level.

Just send your e-mail for further assistance. Thanks.

Plastic impellers and pump cases are great for circulation applications but tend to wear out in pressure and or dirty water applications. The space between the impeller and case gets larger as it wears until the pump just circulates water inside the case.
Pump selection is dependent on applications, with pressure, volume, suction, temperture and fluid to be pumped only a few of the considerations.
Check for restricted suction strainer and hose first, then look at discharge side for kinked hoses and other obstructions. Then open case and look for worn impeller and volutes, occasionally there will be something lodged in the impeller like string or plastic film. Replacing the impeller alone if badly worne may help but won't bring the pressure back to new pump specs, you will need to replace the volute or case too if they are combined.
I use cast iron pumps for pumping silt laden irrigation water and have to rebuild them every 5-6 years, My suction head is 3' and head pressure is 35 psi. frankly I expected better life from cast iron but have to take what I can get.
