Question about Facebook Social Network
When I try to go to facebook I get the following box at the bottom of my screen. "Do you want to open or save facebook_com (1.94 KB) from facebook.com? Open Save Cancel" If I get another screen to open it's filled with boxes & letters. How do I resolve this issue?
It is blocking by your Antivirus.... no issues... when you get the box look at the box carefully... you will be having an option that says "dont show this message again" or something like that.... there will be a check box... you have to give a click on the check box and then give a click on save... hope it will work...

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Can not access my facebook page
You are not alone.
Start fresh by pasting this address into your browser address window http://www.facebook.com
I do not know the reason this works but it does. I also do not know why Facebook's own links to itself discontinue to work but it is frustrating.

run your anti-virus program...maybe something is bugging you while connecting on facebook...it maybe a malware..or adware program.
..as far as i know..you dont need to download any program to run facebook..you just need to register an account and open www.facebook.com and login there.
..i hope this can help you...

Sounds like you could indeed have a virus.
Try downloading the following program: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button, Installing it, running a scan, then restarting your computer to see if this helps. Hopefully this will pick up any infections and remove them. Let us know how you get on :)

Here you go let me know how it works.... You may want to reset settings in Internet Explorer
In Chrome, click the wrench icon, select "Options" then "Under the hood". Hit the button at the bottom that says "Reset to defaults".
On the same screen, make sure "Use DNS pre-fetching" is un-checked.
On the same screen, scroll down and press the button that says "Change proxy settings".
This assumes you are on broadband (with a pen and paper, write down your current settings so you can back them up if things go wrong). Click on "Lan Settings". Make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is un-checked. Click "Ok".
Go to the Window XP/Vista Control Panel (Start, Settings, Control Panel). Load up the "Network Connections".
You will now see a list of the network cards and bridges on your computer. Only one of these is used by your computer to connect to the internet. For example, if you are using wireless internet you will only be using the wireless connection. Right click on each other connection and select "disable". You should only have one enabled connection.
Restart your machine. Turn it off and on again. This is a very important step.
Google Chrome will now be working fully. If not, then clear your history and cache and restart the browser.
