Try connecting the red and white audio cords to your system from your cable box/satellite receiver instead of your tv. Worked for me.

SOURCE: JVC LT-32DS75SJ issue with HDMI

Try this

1. Turn ON TV
2. Connect PS3 to TV HDMI input
3. select TV HDMI input for PS3
4. turn OFF PS3 if it is ON
5. Press and hold the [I/O]Power button until the PS3 until you get the "HDMI Detected" message.

Also, this TV has a circuit that deactivates the HDMI if the rear cover is removed. It is possible the HDMI may have been turned OFF. This is reset in the service menu of the TV.

How do i plug av plugs in

If I understand you AV stands for Audio Video and refers to older equipments style of connections the favourite being scart or phono plus some other variations on even older gear.
Most "older" TV's will have the above format and would just require leads with suitable plugs (except for very old stuff which may only have an aerial socket (Very non digital)
Modern TV's have changed to hdmi sockets (better quality and cheaper for them) rather than a variety of older connectors.
If this is your problem then you have to purchase adapters/converters/scalers which are devices to change one format of sound and picture to another, most powered by a 5volt power supply which is mounted between your two items you wish to connect together.
This can be a bit fiddly and varies in quality (more you pay the better) you would need to find a centre which is tailored for this in the computer/projector world for good advice or try cheap devices on many web outlets which can be down to trial and error. This will also require more leads of suitable types, there are no leads that will connect old AV to hdmi as they are of different formats.

Hope this helps

IPad to element hdmi monitor

Depending on which kind of iPad you have, you will need a Lightning to HDMI adapter (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter?fnode=3a) for a newer iPad with a Lightning connector or a 30-pin to HDMI adapter (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD098ZM/A/apple-digital-av-adapter) for older iPads. After that, just plug a regular HDMI cable into the TV and adapter.

As far as i know, Ipad's use a digital signal output, thus RGB Cables wouldn't work.

I know these still sold, but only work with older iPads.

Unable to connect ipad to tv with digital av adapter

The av adapter and the HDMI adapter can be used with iPad 2 and up. Most of the accessories only can be used with the iPad 2 and up. From the iPad 4 you only can use the lightening accessories.
Don't try other brands, because they never guaranty compatibility. I used my HDMI connector with my iPad 2 and works great. Since I do have Apple TV and a time machine I don't need any cable to view video on my tv.

Psp3 no picture on tv tried new usb lead

So you are using this cable to connect to the TV? On this cable is there only a red, yellow & white connector? This is known as an S-Video or AV cable.

Can you make sure you are connecting it in the right part of your TV. Once connecting it you will need to select the AV input on your TV or you may need to tune the TV into that input (depending on your TV age/model)

The best connection for the PS3 would be the HDMI cable which is one lead with one connector at either end (though this is for HD TVs only)

Hope this helps

Hello,

Adjust the system's audio output settings. These settings are mainly used when the system is connected to audio devices that support digital audio output, such as AV amplifiers (receivers) for home entertainment systems.
1.
Confirm the formats supported by your audio device.
Settings vary depending on supported formats. For details, refer to the instructions supplied with the audio device.
2.
Select in_soundset.gif (Sound Settings) under in_setting.gif (Settings) in the home menu.
3.
Select [Audio Output Settings].
4.
Select the input connector on the audio device. Channel numbers and audio formats that are supported vary depending on the connector in use.

Select audio output formats.
Select all output formats that are supported by the audio device in use. If [Audio Input Connector / SCART / AV MULTI] is selected in step 4, the screen for selecting audio output formats will not be displayed. If [HDMI] is selected, you can also select to automatically set the audio output format. (In this case, the HDMI device must be turned on.)
soundoutput003.jpg 6.
Check your settings.
You can go back to the previous screen and revise the settings by pressing the in_left_key.gif button.

Save your settings.
The audio output settings are saved on the system.
Hints
  • [Linear PCM 2 Ch.] audio is set to be output from all output connectors by default. If you change the audio output settings, audio will be output only from the connectors that were set.
  • If you change the audio output settings, the system will no longer be able to output audio from multiple output connectors at the same time. For example, if your system is connected to a TV via an HDMI cable and to an audio device via a digital optical cable and you switch to [Digital Out (Optical)] under [Audio Output Settings], audio will no longer be output from the TV. To output audio from the TV, switch the setting to [HDMI], or select in_setting.gif (Settings) > in_soundset.gif (Sound Settings) > [Audio Multi-Output] and set the option to [On].
  • If you select [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 88.2 kHz] or [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 176.4 kHz] in step 5, sound may be intermittent or may not be emitted from some audio devices.
  • When using an HDMI cable, only [Linear PCM 2 Ch.] audio will be output from PlayStation®2 and PlayStation® format software. To output Dolby Digital or DTS audio, you must connect the PS3™ system and the audio device using a digital optical cable and switch to [Digital Out (Optical)] under [Audio Output Settings].
  • If a device that is not compatible with the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) standard is connected to the system using an HDMI cable, video and/or audio cannot be output from the system.

Hope it helped.

I need to know how to run my ps3 thru the optical wire to my hdtv

Before you start ensure that you read the TV instruction manual to know which resolution supports it. Do not switch on the TV and your console

You can connect your Playstation 3 to your TV in three different methods:

  1. Connecting with an AV cable
  2. Connecting with an HDMI cable
  3. Connecting with an Optical Cable

Connecting with an AV Cable:

  1. You are supplied with a Composite AV cable which would typically look like the below image
  2. Connect the AV Multi Out Connector to the socket on the back of your PS3 Console.
  3. Match the colors of the Jacks with the connectors on the TV which says "Video in".

Connecting with an HDMI Cable:

HDMI cable is not supplied with the PS3. You need to purchase it seperately. This cable would enhance the audio-video quality of your TV.

  1. Just connect one end of the connector to the HDMI OUT connector socket on the back of the console
  2. Connect the other end to the socket on the back of your TV which says HDMI IN.

Connecting with an Optical cable:

You need to purchase an Optical cable if you wish to connect your PS3 console through a digital audio device (Home theater, AV receiver etc.,). You need to connect Video ouput seperately with a help of Video output cable (HDMI, AV Cable etc.,)

  1. Connect one end of the optical cable to "Audio Out" socket on the console
  2. Connect the other end to the audio receiver.

Note: You can also connect your console to the Internet to use the Playstation 3 internet capabilities. Here's how you do it:

The Playstation 3 only supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T type networks. It needs a High speed internet connection. Do not connect it to a standard telephone connection or cables that are not supported. It might cause a malfunction or damage to the system.
