You have to check your driver node. Change to MME, run wave profiler and restart application. Also check playback timing master and record timing master and be sure that your sound card is listed under both. That will do it

Yes, check the MIDI devices and make sure that you have the "wavetable synth' as your choice. somehow it's not seeing your choices or the wave profiler is not running completely. Also you must shut everything down before any global changes will take place. If you want to give me your email, I'm willing to try a few more things. It can be hard to get configured- but once u do- your all set

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I just installed my copy of music creator 4 onto my 64-bit windows 7 computer, but I cannot get the audio to play although I've set up speakers which work fine for all other programs.

This link should be helpful they have an update for the audio. It's a patch that corrected the no sound.

Im trying to download music creator 4 into my comp and when i put it in nothin happens. what am i doing wrong?

Well, this is a simple problem.
You probably have auto-run disabled. So, go to "computer" and you should see your hard disk drives, and anything else connected or inside your computer. Once Music Creator 4 appears, double click it and it should run. Hope I helped in some way. :)

I have cakewalk music creator 2002 and sonar, they won't install on my new computer Vista 64bit. My question is, do i need to repurchase these products or is there a quick fix. Thank You. Jack

call cakewalk, their product might not be compatible with 64bit OS. They might offer a patch or workaround. And you could also try running as admin in compatibility mode.

I just installed cakewalk music creator 4.all of the effects and the studiodevil bvc amp simulator are greyed out.i can't figure out how to turn them on.need help!

You first of all have to check your driver mode to make sure that you have sound. If you do, then just highlite a track so that it knows which "thing" you want to apply said FX to-

That should do it.........
Hope this hleps

Cakewalk software: Midi vs. Sound

You can get a music keyboard for around $200 and up.

Or use it as is, with your computer keyboard. There should be a printable template on the disk, if not in the package.

Midi keyboard sound quality bad

you are likely running it thru a soft synth. Check the help files there is a section in there on "using soft synths" that will explain it more fully. Plus a usb connection can sometimes be problematic (not always). But the tutorial in the help files will tell u how to use the sounds from the piano instead of the MIDI sounds
