Again i would try the heatgun fix, there are many videos on youtube such as: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep4uj18Mr5...

it should take you around 45 mins to do this fix and it works on the majority of xbox 360's. i would recommend replacing the x-clamps and using the team xecuter 3rrod repair kit too. i also replace the heatsink paste with some high quality paste. i hope this help you m8

If you have sound but no picture this is the same sort of fault as the 3rrod. the overheating issue has 3 or 4 different errors that can happen and what your describing is one of them. You need to do the x-clamp replacement and go over the mainboard with a heatgun. we offer a repair service if needed www.fixmyconsole.co.uk

This is unfortunately a common problem with the console, you are eventually going to just get the three red lights and the unit will be dead. Call Microsoft now to get them to replace the unit. You can call them at 1-800-4-My-Xbox

Thanks

2 red lights

Your xbox is overheating.
1. Let your Xbox 360 console cool. You may have to wait several hours for your console to cool enough. Don't turn on your Xbox 360 console when the console is hot. 2. Verify that your Xbox 360 console has enough ventilation and that the fans are operating. 3. If the two lights continue to flash after trying the above steps, you'll need to contact Xbox Customer Support.

Even a novice can solve the problem with the help of step by step process given at the guide. I think it's worth trying. I need help xbox 360 black screen

OK, I think I can slove your problem.

There is a slide setting thing on your av cord that gives you the option of using TV or HDTV (look near the end of the cord that slides into the XBOX 360), You will see two choices for settings on the cord "TV" or "HDTV".
Just make sure that you have it on the correct setting. I had the smae problem. My XBOX 360 is not hooked up to HDTV, so for me it should stay on TV. But somehow when I took out the cord I accidently slide it to HDTV.

I simply slide it back to the "TV" Setting and in about 30 seconds it worked perfectly.

I hope this helps you.

use the towell trick! Wrap the 360 in 2 towells turn on and leave running for 15 minutes. It gets very hot but after the 15 minutes turn off the console and power it back on again and it should work. Dont know if this is a permanent fix but my 360 hasnt broken again so far. Dont ask me how but it works, google it if you like. It also cures the 3 red lights problem.
