SOURCE: onga pool pump running but not drawing water from pool

Take out the pump pot basket and stick your finger in the hole towards the motor (make sure the motor won't kick on!!). What you should feel is the impeller. It has five grooves in the face of it and each one needs to be cleaned of foilage and debris. With every hole clogged in the impeller you lose 20% of your motors effeciency. With whisperflow brand the pump pot basket is poorly designed where debris like pine needles go straight through.

SOURCE: onga sand filter pumps sand in to pool

The lateral(s) are damaged and allowing sand thru and back to the pool. I have never dealt with that specific brand to know if the laterals come as one assembly or individual pieces. You'll need to contact the dealer you got the unit from or check online at http://www.onga.com.au/dealerlocator for someone in your area.

Depending on its age, it may have been fitted with the wrong thermal overload when it was manufactured. If it is relatively new go back to your supplier for a fix; if it is not new please tell us more about the problem..

SOURCE: how to strip pool pump, pantera bearing has pack

You are probably wondering how to remove the impeller - generally, these are screwed on to tha motor shaft - motors normally run clockwise when viewed from the rear, so thread is normal right hand. remove fan cowl and fan from motor in order to be able to restrain the shaft while you unscrew the impeller - it should be straightforward from there.

Bearing failure is more often than not brought on by leakaege from the mechanical seal - when you reassemble the pump you should replace the seal assembl - also make sure that there is no damage in the form of melted plastic around the seal stationary seat area; replace parts as necessary.

Onga pump ppp750 plugged in will not start and no prime noise?

If needed, the owners manual for your pump is in the link below. This is a pump me for countries outside the USA. But if you are getting nothing, it is possible that it is miswired, or you have a failed pump-dead.

but by the wording of your question, it appears that it may have worked at one time, the way it is currently wired? If so, and nothing has changed with wiring, or any of the installation, then it is possible that if you hear nothing, either power has stopped going to it, or the pump motor died.

Check your breaker, any fuses, or wiring to the pump
and remember this one very important fact, to reset a toggle style breaker, you need to push it ALL The way to the off position, sometimes it is harder than you think, and then you can turn it to the on position. This resets a tripped breaker.

How much zeoclor in an LS 24 onga

Does not matter on pool size, but on the filter tank size!
Follow Zeo's label instructions, as they may recommend a reduction of their product vs. Sand, say 80% of recommended sand amount. Good luck

I cannot start pumping. the pump runs but no water is circulating

I think you have spun the center out of your impeller. Disassemble your pump and replace the impeller if necessary. Also replace all seals while you are at it.

If it is equiped with a starting relay, the relay is the problem, replace it with the same and better replacement. The contacts seems to loose it through wear and tear.

Plastic impellor sticks inside on onga pool pump and i can't get free .When i try with phillips head screwdriver it is jamming and i can't loosen to get impellor off and the pump only makes noise and can't...

Your Onga Pool pump was running dry causing the
impeller to melt down and stick to the pump case.
You have to remove the impeller, and the only way
to take it off by using the heat gun to melt the stucked plastic impeller. Or by forcing it off slowly, cutting the impeller using hacksaw, taking care of the mechanical seal and the motor shaft not to bend it. Afterwhich you can replace the impeller, and assemble the Onga pump/motor. Then, you can
install the Onga pump back to its location. Just
send you e-mail for further assistance. God bless
you.

How to set up my onga pump and filter its about 8 years old but looks like the currant model.just got it and they didnt have instructions bugger.

We begin at the suction line. I'll assume that you will be using this as a
pool pump since you have a filter. At the suction line, install a horizontal
or a vertical check valve along the suction pipe. Then the suction pipe
is connected to the bottom pipe adapter of the filter. The top pipe adapter of the filter shall be connected to the pump suction adapter. At the pump discharge adapter, install a GI Pipe Tee. At the bottom of the GI pipe tee, put a GI nipple going to the pump discharge adapter. Opposite it shall be the pipe plug to serve as the priming port. At the GI pipe cross, install a GI nipple about 6-inch long with a service **** to balance water flow. At the end of the service **** install another 6-inch GI nipple to attach a gate valve to control water flow. After the gate valve
is the discharge pipelines going back to the pool.

Note: Pump must be installed within 3 to 5 meters near the water source. You may install more than 5 meters but suction could be difficult for the pump.

Priming the pump:

Open the plug at the tee that serves as the priming port, Fill this up with
water to full level with the service **** at full close position. Once filled
up, replace and close the priming port. Put the power on, and start the
pump running, then slowly open the service **** or flow control valve
to appropriate level.

Just send your e-mail for further assistance. Thanks.
