Question about Mattel Juice Box 512 MB MP3 Player
Can anyone help?? I bought my son this JuiceBox to use as an MP3 player (I bought the MP3 pack. I downloaded various CD's onto my computer, then copied the tracks onto the SD card via the USB and card reader. When I turn the Juice box on, I get adverts for cartoons. It's as though the machine doesn't register the presence of the card! HELP! PLEEEEZE!
How do you actually get the juicebox to format the sd card... i stick it in and turn it on and all it does is play that stupid video of stuff on the box itself...

I had this same exact problem.it worked when i tried formatting the card and then putting files on it again. the only thing is, the juicebox is a pain in the ass when it comes to file types.you shouldn't have much of a problem with mp3s, but on my juicebox, the photo viewing thing is just shot. i tried every filetype, but it just doesn't work anymore, only music works. it's a shame, because in my opinion the picture viewing that was what really carried it along, especially because you can't even control the music, you have to just listen to the whole song all the way through. so in that case, if it's that big a thing with that large a screen and the volume control is so messed up anyway and it sounds horrible without headphones, i said the hell with it and stuck to my ipod, but as for your kid, enjoy the image viewing thing while you can, and remember to format that card, and if you have alot of files on there that you don't want to lose, remember to back them up.
god, all this trouble to view some damn pictures and listen to music-did i forget to mention you can't control the music?? god, even an old record player can do that!
what a peice of crap. a waste of my money.
good luck anyway.

Did you put the sd card into the juicebox before the pc? you need to put the card into the juice box first and let the juicebox format the card, then put it into your pc and transfer songs.
