Cordless keyboard not working after battery change

I changed my Cordless Desktop E90 keyboard's battery. Since then it's not being detected. I tried several pairs of batteries, including new ones, but without any luck. I saw somne other posts in with similar problems, but none of the solutions worked for me(rattling the keyb, resetting the receiver etc.) . Thanks in advance for any help....

Thanks byteguy... I had even tried deleting from the control panel before... And regarding system restore, I've turned it off.. Hehe..

It seems my keyboard is bonkers, so I'm turning it in for the warranty..
    Thanks for your help..

Although I hesitate to ask--are the batteries facing the right direction?
Have you tried unplugging the sending unit and replugging it in? A simple battery change should not affect the operation.

On my Dell keyboard there is a button that will cycle through frequencies until a match is found for the PC and keyboard to communicate. The keyboard may reset to a "default" frequency after a battery change. You might look to see if your keyboard has such a button.

OK. I would next suggest that you go into control panel>system>device manager and look for the keyboard and delete it. It should then rediscover the device. Sometimes that happens--it's sort of like slapping it upside the head! You have to get its attention, if you will forgive the analogy.
You can do all this work with the mouse.

As a follow up, you might try to do a system restore to several days ago when the keyboard was working. As above, you can do this with the mouse.
Sometimes something just gets changed in the registry and this is the easiest way to fix it.
If all else fails, you can assume that your keyboard needs to be replaced.

Try plugging it in a different USB port. You should also consider plugging it in a different pc. If neither works , your keyboard is dead .

I have tried everything. I'nm working off a HPNotebook PC with a wireless mouse and keyboard that has worked for years. I cannot type on the keyboard. It is frozen. Please help.

Remove the battery of the keyboard and clean, test teh battery . If bad replace the battery and test. If the same fault occurs since the mouse is working fine then the keyboard has a fault.
It is possible that the keyboard processor is faulty . You must check if the cost of a new keyboard will be as much as changing the IC in the keyboard.

Logitech cordless desktop EX110 keyboard

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
