Question about Logitech Webcam
I cannot see myself nor my friend can see me when I try to make a video call. Nothing appears, and the following message displays:
YOUR CONVERSATION CANNOT BEGIN BECAUSE YOU ARE CURRENTLY USING YOUR CAMERA OR IT IS NOT CONNECTED. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR CAMERA IS AVAILABLE AND TRY AGAIN.
Can you please assist me on this?
When I run MS IM Live audio and video setup I get the error; We are unable to run audio and video setup and also I got the bit about the web cam being used in another prg when trying to start the video session in MS IM Live. The web cam works great in Yahoo IM. I also closed all the yahoo IM prgs running and still the web cam don't work in MS IM Live. HELP HELP!
See section C. Windows Live Messenger in the info below.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/ ) set it up as follows:
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.
B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger (http://www.soft32.com/download_30.html ) set it up as follows:
C. Windows Live Messenger:
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
I know this will work as I used it.
Hope this helps. Bud
