Question about Lexmark X6650 4-In-One Wireless InkJet Printer

Lexmark X6690 Wireless All-In-One printer does not print

Even after a clean installation, the printer does not print any jobs sent to it. It does not show any error message. I have tried it with Wi-Fi and USB cable with same results.

    I can make copies very well. I will try what you suggest and let you know. Thanks!

    PS: I tried with same computer with the driver installed on it.

There maybe some issues with your firewall also. Try printing while your firewall is off, if it prints, problem solved. If it doesn't call Lexmark Tech Support..

If the power light is "pulsing" (blinking slowly), it's possible the printer is in sleep mode. Unplug the printer from the outlet and disconnect the power supply from the printer. Reconnect the power supply, plug the printer back in, and try again.

I am also be curious to know if you are able to make copies. This would at least assure you that the printer is functional. Are you are attempting to print from the computer where you installed the software? Sorry if this is really obvious to you--to some people it's not, especially over a network. All of the computers you're trying to print from need to have the right driver installed on them.

When it is installed on your wireless network, can you see it from a computer? Are you able to ping it? Does the printer make any noise at all? Do you have a firewall on the computer you're trying to print from that might not be allowing some of the processes to function normally?

Something else to try is 1) uninstall all of the software from the computer and 2) reset the printer to factory defaults. You can do that like this:

1. Turn off the printer. Make sure it is off and not in Power Saver mode (press and hold the power button for 2 seconds).
2. Press and hold the green circle button and the red x button at the same time, then press the power button and turn the printer on (while you're still holding he circle and the x buttons).

With no software installed and the printer back to factory defaults, try installation with the USB again. It's possible that it saved some weird setting that is confusing it.

If it won't even make copies, though, call the Lexmark help number. It could just be a bad unit if it does nothing at all.

You can access the User's Guide from your computer. Just click on Start > All Programs > Lexmark > View User's Guide.

If your printer keeps on printing the same document, there might be a lot of print jobs in your queue. You might have sent the same print jobs when you were getting the communication error. Just click on Start > Printers and Faxes > Double click on the Lexmark icon and clear the print jobs in the queue.

I have a Lexmark X6690 and bought new Lexmark print cartridges today - Black and Colour. The printer is recognising the colour cartridge but not the black one. Driving me nuts!! Please help x


Try to reseat the black cartridge. If that doesn't help, try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On the printer operator panel > press Setup button > Maintenance > Clean Cartridges > Ok. Your printer will then print a page, forcing ink through the nozzles to clean them. Try to print again. You may also try to insert a different known working black cartridge to determine if the other is faulty. If your new cartridge is faulty, return it to the purchase store (if within return period) or contact Lexmark technical support for assistance.

Lexmark E 250 dn printer. Keeps turning off. Switching from blue bulb indicator to exclamation point indiator. Difficult to turn back on by pressing blue arrow button


Hi,
The problem could be several things, the first one could be a Flushing buffer error. That means that the printer did not understand the print job sent to it and has to be reset in order to continue printing. Second could be a memory full error where the print job sent to the printer is too big and the printer memory is not enough. The third could be the printer front door is not closing properly, make sure the toner cartridge is installed correctly and that the front door is closed. That's all I can think of right now.

Is it possible to refill ink cartridge on Lexmark x6690 printer?


Take out all cartridges, switch printer off and then on again and let printer see that there are no cartridges. Do this 5 times, it resets the cartridges. Then install refilled cartridges

When printing documents from my PC documents always sent to queue


Go to control panel, printers. Set your defaults there. You probably have spooling enabled. Uncheck it and your print job will go to the printer, rather than to spooling. Spooling is like rolling the print job up on a spool until the whole thing is processed, then unwinding it to the printer.

In this case what i would Request u to do is......... Goto Control Panel goto Printers folder......... There u will see the Lexmark Printer Icon........... Just right click on the Printer Icon and click on Properties......... Now click on Advanced and goto Print Processor......... Change it to Lexmark X6600 and NTEMF 1.0008........ Click on Apply click Ok now try to Print.......... Prints Fine............Issue Resolved........

Wireless Printer causing slow boot of laptop


Same problem here on wo of my customer's laptops. Both running WinXP.
After hours of running around, Lexmark Tech Support suggested fix that youngtommo above posted. Instant fix!
