GA-K8NS Ultra-939 nVIDIA nForce3 motherboard will support up to 4 Gigs of RAM. So you could most certainly increase the amount of ram your system has. Memory for that mother board has gotten very cheap over the last year or so, do to the release of the DDR3 standard. I have 4 Gigs of RAM for less than a $100, online. Avoid the retail outlets they still want top dollar for their memory and frequently, they will sell you mismatched memory that will cuase you problems.

I have a link with all the specifications for this motherboard.

I hope this helps,

Eric

I have Intel Orginal 845GVSR motherboard with 2.4 ghz Processor and 256 ddr Ram. Can I increase my Ram to 1 gm with 400 fsb speed

Yes you can, the speed will be increased approximately more than 50%. There's also advantage if you can install two 512mb, which you'll see it as "dual channel", sometimes this is better as per the system configuration. Good luck. Thank you for using FixYa.
