Lost Manual How do you turn off computer so battery recharges properly? I bougt a new battery since the one that came with the computer was old. I do not know how to switch to ac power when I get a warning that battery is low. Also, how do I turn off (leave the computer overnight by either turning off, hibernating, or what) so the battery will be recharged when I turn it on again in the morning? Is there a manual online that I can print? Thank you very, very much.

My walkie talky batterys won,t hold a charge. only couple tries and dies?

The battery has to be Ni-Cad, nickel metal hydride, or lead acid types to be rechargeable and you have to use the proper charger. If the batteries are new, get your $$ back; if they are old they might need replacing. If they are carbon zinc or regular alkaline they can't be recharged. Of course, read the manual.

WHAT DOES THE BATTERY LIGHT INDICATE ON A 1999 FORD TAURUS?

Sounds like your only problem is a very dead battery

If it was over 4 years old & you had load tested it,you
wouldn't have all that bad experience

Any idea why you installed a new alternator other than a guess,
no testing, well the dead battery may be an issue there as well

I got a hp pavilion dv 2500 i assumed had a bad charger port because the light would not turn on when it was plugged in. so i went ahead and bougt a new component for it, but still no charge. any othe

How old is the battery. It may not be holding a charge because it is so old. Try holding down F12 during boot up to see if it offers you a battery recalibration option. If it does, follow the on screen instructions to the letter. Best of luck

Keeps turning off and on wont stop ?

See what new, or recharged batteries will do. If still the same is likely a system fault.
If five years or more old then not worth the expense of servicing unless under extended guarantee (which you'd have paid extra for on purchasing, if you didn't you're not covered)
Look in the instruction manual under Troubleshooting. If manual lost go to Sony website and follow easy steps to finding the manual for your camera online. It's likely the website will have more easy to follow options on troubleshooting solutions or advice than the manual will.

My pentax optio m20 wont turn on

Take out the batteries and clean contacts with alcohol and a Q-tip the long ones like a doctor uses are better. If the batteries are more
than two years old I would replace them. I take it that this camera
probably uses AA. Reg. Alkaline batteries would be alright just to
try it with if you get it working then I would put a set of lithium batteries in it as these last far longer. You can also buy rechargeable AA batteries. If it has a lithium L-Ion rechargeable battery pack and it
is several years old you may want to buy a new one for it. There is
several reasonable sellers on Ebay with the proper battery for your camera. If this don't solve your problem I would say the camera is done. In my experience these new cameras just don't last as long as the old manual film cameras.

My black 360 controller with a rechargable battery, has been having 4 major problems, 1. It started disconnecting while playing Halo Reach and after. 2. My controller was not able to charge any...

Rechargeable batteries will only hold so many charges before they finally die. The controller should be fine, but your battery pack has finally died. You can get new rechargeable packs on Amazon pretty cheap, but don't buy any that seem too good to be true (like the $0.01 ones) because they are old inventory and have lost the ability to charge as well.
I think they run about $15-$20 for a new one, but it's still a better deal than needing new batteries every time your controller dies since the rechargeable ones can last for at least a couple years.

IT HAS BRAND NEW AA BATTERIES IT WILL TURN ON BUT THEN TURN OFF

Are you still using alkaline batteries? If so, alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pictures in a digital camera. Some may also have reached their shelf life, and though brand new and right out of the package, they may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. Digital cameras that use AA's for the most part should only be used with rechargeable batteries. If you read the camera's instruction manual concerning batteries, you may see the same recommendation.

Modern rechargeable batteries (I'm not talking about old NiCad's, those are awful) can hold over five times the amount of power of an old fashioned alkaline battery. Also keep in mind that rechargeable batteries will save you money in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may be angry with yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

The rechargable battery is dead, and unless you can replace it, you have a useless paperweight. Generally, when the battery is fully discharged it comes up with the missing STM3500 message. When it recharges in the usb port, the message will go away after uninstalling the MP3 player. When it won't recharge, it is gone without a new battery.
