Clearing paper jam in a printer is simple almost seven step
procedure depending on the printer. Paper jam is the term used to refer to the
scenario where your paper fails to come out of the printer during the print
process. When you send a document to the printer, normally the printer prints
out the document on a paper; then you can pick up your printed copy. When the
paper gets stuck in the printer, it is said that paper has jammed in the
printer "paper jam".
Even if you are not a technical person, you can conveniently

Verify that the type of paper specified in the Type is text box matches the type of paper being used. A paper jam might result if photo paper is specified in the Printer Properties dialog box, but plain paper is loaded in the printer.
Look for any small rips of paper caught in a sensor back there. There are little "fingers" that the paper runs over and its all timed. if one of those sensors are jammed with something or sticky, error messages.
there could be three reasons for this problem
1)the printer cover is not properly closed.
2)either any of the cartridge is faulty.
3)or there is literally the paper jam in the printer.so at the back of the printer there is a assess door just remove that door and you can see inside any paper jam.also look for any minute tiny pieces of paper blocking the gears to forward and it shows paper jam.
