Bobbin/threading I have a new Singer ce-150 and I keep breaking needles. My friend says that something needs to click when I thread it and when I do the bobbin? Help me please. I really want to enjoy sewing but am not off to a great start! Julie

Could be acouple of things. The tension on the thread or the bobbin. The needle not in all the way. Wrong type of needle for the thickness of the material. My problem was always trying to pull or push the fabric with the needle in the material - cause a bend, then the tip snags the side of the bobbin hole. Snap it's gone.

As your friend suggested, check the threading of the bobbin, the click she/he might be talking about it the first rotation of the bobbin, then being snagged by the needle thread. Good luck!

I have a futura ce 150 and my bobbin thread won't catch

Are you able to bring the bobbin thread to the top of the needle plate, but it's skipping stitches, or you can't "catch" the bobbin thread to start sewing at all.

If you can't "catch" it at all, your machine's hook is no longer synchronizing, and you will need to have it retimed by a technician. The good news is, timing is not something that is unique per manufacturer, which means ANY sewing machine technician should be able to do it.

I am not sure about this particular machine but in most machines there will be a nob on the front loose low numbers like 0 1 -2 work well on number 3. If the nob is not on the front check and see if it is on the side.

Singer quantum futura ce200 - thread breaks

The needle thread breaks
1. the needle thread is not threaded properly
2. The needle thread tension is to tight
3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing
7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle

I have a Singer Futura CE-150 and it keeps stopping due to "Thread break error" but the thread and bobbin seem okay what could it be?

Either upper thread is not passing through thread sensor area or sensor is broken.
Second possible reason is that if design is not optimized the sporadic speed change provides thread breakage error even if the thread is not broken physically. Make sure your software is updated to optimize it automatically (Futura main menu->Help->Live Update).

The thread and bobbin are nesting up in the bobbin case

Two things I have found that make my singer ce-200 nest. 1st. When I change threads, sometimes I thread it wrong - always nests when I do that. 2nd. When the bobbin runs out of thread it always nests for me, so I have to check the bobbin often. And I remembered a 3rd thing. 3rd. The area for the bobbin & bobbin casing has to be clean, no pieces of threads, and the bobbin casing itself can move, so make sure it's seated correctly.Whenever I get nesting, I take the metal cover off, under the needle, to get in and clean the bobbin area and under the needle good, before I go back to embroidering.

Problems with Singer CE-150... the LED light #19 keeps coming on, but I KNOW it isn't threaded incorrectly..

This machine uses a rotary thread break sensor. If you look at the top left of your machine when it is running the sensor (white dial) should be spinning. Threading around this part is critical. Make sure it spins when you pull thread through the needle. if it does not you have missed something in threading. If this is spinning and machine still stops it is likely the sensor is malfunctioning.

The thread keeps breakijng when I am embroidering

It could just be that your needle is blunt and you need to put a new one in. It is amazing how many different problems a blunt needle can cause. Hope its sorted now.
