This is fine for your electric dryer but if it is a gas dryer then you do not have a heating element. There are several things that can cause a dryer to not heat so there is not just one answer.

I have a kitchenaid prestige gas clothes dryer. Model #KGYS677EQ1 . It is producing no heat at all, but it is tumbling fine. Can you please help me figure out the problem?

It could be a few things, but the most common is the heating element is burned out. Un-plug the dryer. Remove the cover to expose the wires attached to the heating element. Take a Ohm meter to test the heating element after the wires are un-plugged.

My kitchenaid electric dryer not heating

Kitchenaid dryers have real weak heating elements, I would test that first, if you have an ohm meter look for small resistance, an open would mean the heating element is bad.

Hello, I have Kenmosre 90 series dryer. Did a load ealier today, and it was fine. Went back to put another load in and realised NO heat was on, absolutley no heat in the dryer, the air inside is room...

you may need a heating element. You can go to your locale appliance store and buy the element & install it yourself . Just make sure you take All your dryer info, (etc; the dryer model, make, yr & the serial # ) this info is easy to find, its located inside the dryer door. Just call around your locale area and ask them how much it is for the heating element, for your dryer. It should be rather cheap compared to the cost of Kenmore appliance company coming out to fix it for you. The heating element is rather easy to install. I have installed a few in my own dryers and in my hot water heater.
Thank you.

I had the same problem. I went to the sears repair center they were very helpful. I needed a heating element fuse. $15.00 easy to install.

Dryer continues to heat when door is open

The model number you put up is for a gas dryer, but you said element, so I'm assuming it is actually electric.

If this is in fact an electric dryer, you most likely have a heating element that has shorted to the case. There is a small chance that something else in that circuit has shorted to ground but I doubt it.

If this actually is a gas dryer, please discontinue use immediately and get a licensed tech over there to look at it.

Good Luck
