SOURCE: need replacement parts

Hello eleda,

Go to Parts & Accessories section below:

Start at

http://prc.prodregister.com/prodprotect/applica/

And click on "George Foreman" (lower-right portion of the page), it redirects you to a secure webpage where you can register.

https://secure.prodregister.com/prodprotect/applica/gf.shtml

Part of the page reads:
"Call toll-free or visit our websites for assistance if you need more help.

Parts & Accessories:
Phone: 1-800-738-0245 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., ET)

Product Warranty:
Service: 1-800-231-9786 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., ET)"

I've called them on another matter within the last couple of weeks, so I know these numbers work.

If your grill is old enough that it's no longer supported (something I've encountered with some other brands), then you're probably going to have to go hunting on eBay. If you end up going this way, I'd be willing to offer some further tips if you're interested.

If I can be of further assistance, or if you have questions, please let me know before rating me.

If this solves the issue, please rate it accordingly. My goal is to earn a "FixYa" rating from everyone I help.

Thanks for using Fixya.com,

Lightning has run in on my router & desktop computer via phone cord. Computer won't turn on & I have no internet with other wifi items. Is computer worth saving?

When electronic products are damaged by lightning, specially not from the power cord that connects to the AC Socket where in some rare cases would be stopped hopefully by the fuse which will trip (meaning break and stop hopefully the current) so the over powered surge wont get to the circuit, it is most likely fried. what i mean is the circuits and most of its valuable parts are all damaged. but as you have stated, it is via phone cord, then more surely, the circuits are fried and both modem and the router and also your computer needs a brand new replacement. don't bother having it fixed, for it will just mean buying new and replacing all the circuits inside your machines. hope i have cleared your question. thank you.

My washing machine fills up with water and then won't drain. The buttons on the top panel freeze when it gets to the spin cycle- HELP!

This is a very common probem with the main control boards if they are push buttons. If it has a selector switch, that is most likely at fault.

Scanner won't turn on

yea scanners can die. i would test the power supply to see if the cord got fried. usually they have a big box somewhere through the cord and it helps from an on coming power surge to fry the machine.

What does P8 error code mean?

The 8 error code just means that the ink absorber is full and needs to be replaced. Power cycling will not help this problem. A shop needs to replace the absorber and reset the counter.

Washer does not spin

Hi, There are several causes for this problem. Check these.

  • No spin at all: the lid switch is fried. You test it with your meter.                                  There will be a motor which spins the washing machine's drum.                                              If you don't hear the motor running, then its the lid switch which would have been broken and needs replacing. A bad lid switch wil interrupt the spin cycle.

  • In the Whirlpool washers, a common problem is that the lid plunger stops making contact with the lid switch. Use a pen to manually press the lid switch actuator (with the lid up, duh). If the washer spins...well, you know the rest.

  • Older (belt-drive) Whirlpool: the spin solenoid is burned out or has cut wires. Ohm out that solenoid (20-30 ohms) and test with a test cord. Make sure the wires are intact by giving them a little tug. If this is OK, you may need to adjust/replace the basket drive.

  • Timer is fried. On older timers, it's sometimes possible to run an external jumper to replace the bad internal contacts. Usually, however, the entire timer must be replaced. The only way to confirm is to use your meter and wiring diagram.

These are the causes that have to be inspected. You can also visit this site www.whirlpool.com/custserv/index.jsp

Hope my info solves your problem, Thanx for using fixya, Good luck.
