this happened to me before, basically this means your PSP is fried, dead, and cannot be fixed. when this happened to me I went and bought a PSP slim and never had the problem again.
take out the battery and wipe it off and put in or let the batery drain all the way the let psp charge overnight thin if that dosent work use warrenty to get a new psp
Unfortunately your PSP is broken and needs professional repair by Sony. Contact your country's Sony head office and arrange to have it sent in for repair. You might also consider just buying a new one as it will be expensive to repair. I think you got ripped off by that service that tried to "cold solder" your chip.
All things are fixable. Try going into recovery mode. This is done by Pressing and holding the R button when powering up the PSP. You then can press the brightness control button to see the firmware. This might help you reboot the PSP. If it is worst than this, you may consoder sending it back to Sony for repair, although they usually do not want to fix a Squooshed PSP. I would not tell them you Sat on it. You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669.
If you cannot get them to Repair it, you can check out my website, www.Playstationclinic.com . I can fix it for a very reasonable price.
