there is a tab in the bottom of the light socket that can get bent so that it wont touch the base of the new bulb. unplug your refrig and use a small screw driver and bend the tab back out a little bit so that it will contact the new bulb...

two ways might first un plug the unit take the bulb ou and with your finger pull up on the contact inside the light socket ***** the bulb back in and try it if that doesn't work unplug the unit and with a mall screwdriver pry out the switch un plug one wire and with a meter check it to see if its working right or just replace it

Your problem may be in the bulb receptacle or the light switch.
If you have a voltmeter, let me know and I will tell you how to check it.

Hi, Remove the front kick plate at the bottom and locate the defrost timer box. You will see a hole and there will be a round switch you can turn. Turn in clock wise and see if the refrigerator starts.
If it starts, the timer needs changed. If it does not starts. locate the cold control (thermostat)
Check continuity on the switch. If it is the on position and the circuit is open, you need to replace it.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
