As soon as you turn on your PC, tap the F11 key on the keyboard while the "Press F11 for recovery" message is displayed; continue tapping until you get the "Windows is loading files..." message.

When Recovery Manager has loaded click advanced options

Choose system recovery

If you wish to try and backup any data then choose backup your files first and follow the on screen instructions

To run the recovery without backing up your data choose to recover without back up

The recovery will launch and restore your system back to it's factory default state

Open Control Panel, Power Options, Set to High Performance, Open Advanced Power settings, Set Sleep and Hibernate to Never, adjust other advanced settings to your preference. If this fails to fix, Return it at once while your warranty is valid. After Dell bought Alienware they sort of went south.

How to enable hibernation in Windows XP

Hibernation is a low-power mode that laptops use when they are idle in order to save power. A hibernating computer can come back up to ready a lot quicker than a computer that is completely shut down, but it only uses marginally more power while it is hibernating.

To enable hibernation, open the Power Options applet in the Control Panel. Click on the Hibernate tab (the farthest one on the right) and check the box next to "Enable hibernation." Beneath this box you will see the amount of disk space required to use hibernation. (This amount is typically about the same as the amount of RAM you have installed, because when the computer hibernates, everything in RAM is written to the hard drive.) If you do not have enough free hard drive space, you won't be able to use hibernation; delete some old programs or files that you no longer need in order to free up some more room.

Once you have enabled hibernation and clicked Apply, you can tell Windows when to use hibernation. Go to the Advanced tab (still in Power Options). Under the "Power buttons" heading, there are settings for different actions, such as closing your laptop's lid or pressing the power button. If you want your computer to hibernate when any of these actions are performed, just choose Hibernate from the drop down list. You can also make your computer hibernate manually by choosing Hibernate from the shut down options (Start menu > Shut Down).

Your changes will take effect as soon as you click Apply or OK.

HIBERNATION

THE OPERATING SYSTEMS WHICH THE MICROSOFT HAVE PRESENTED TO US HAVE MANY ADVANTAGES AND NOW I AM SHARING ONE WITH YOU FRIENDS.
WHEN WE ARE DOING A TASK,IF WE WANT TO GO FOR ANOTHER WORK LEAVING THE COMPUTER ALONE,WE USUALLY SAVE THE WORK AND SHUTDOWN THE SYSTEM AND GO FOR THE NEW WORK.BY A SIMPLE TECHNIQUE THIS CAN BE AVOIDED AND WE CAN REENTER INTO THE WORK WHICH WE WHERE DOING BEFORE SHUTDOWN.THIS FEATURE IS CALLED HIBERNATION.THE STEPS TO DO THIS IS THE FOLLOWING.
1.Click Start
2.Select Settings-Control panel- Power options-Hibernate- Enable hibernation.
3.The system can be left to hibernate by selecting the turnoff option, then point the mouse to the stand by option and by pressing down the shift key, select it,then you can see the option as hibernate and select it.Then you can see instead of shutting down windows,it gives the message as hibernating. Then it is ready, then you can return to the work by again pressing the main power switch of the CPU.Try it and look how amazing it is.
WARNING:First go for a trial with open windows(2 or 3......) and then try in actual practice.Does not cause any failure to the system 100% safe operation.Thank you

Hp pavilion ze1115 stuck on hibernating..

Open Control Panel, Power, power settings, change power settings to high performance, Disable Hibernation, sleep. When your laptop is not in use shut it down and unplug. It will last longer and a boot everyday will reset the laptop.

My laptop keeps saying hibernating and i cannot get to menu screen.

Definition: Hibernate is another option for powering down your laptop. When you use Hibernate all data will be saved to the hard drive in a compressed form. Once you start up from Hibernate mode you will be able to work with the applications and documents you left open before putting the laptop into Hibernate.
Hibernate is best used to conserve laptop battery power when you will be away from the laptop for more than a few minutes. You can put your laptop into Hibernate overnight or when you will be away from it for a few hours. Examples: Rather than shutting down my laptop each night, I use Hibernate to help conserve battery power and enable me to access my open files quicker in the morning.

If you are not going to use your computer for a few hours, it is a good idea to put it to sleep (also known as mode) to save power. If you are not going to use the computer for more than a day, it is usually best to turn it off.

hope it helps.... please rate if you like my post...thanks

Hiberation mode ,,what do i do/

Hello,

Hibernate mode is a power saving feature for computers. In hibernate mode, the current state of a computer is saved to the hard disk, and the computer shuts down. A user will have to power on the computer to restore the previous settings. When a computer resumes from hibernate mode, it reads the saved settings from the disk and restores the system state as it was before it entered hibernate mode. By default, hibernate mode is disabled. If a computer is not ACPI-enabled or APM-enabled, users will have to enter hibernate mode manually. Users cannot set the computer to automatically hibernate after a certain time. With ACPI-enabled and APM-enabled computers, users are able to set hibernate mode automatically

How to enable Hibernate:
Please follow this steps below to enable your Hibernate features:

1. Go to Main screen in your windows then right click your mouse to an empty area in your main menu.
2. After clicking the right click please select the properties then go to Screen Saver Tab.
3. Please Click the Button name Power then click the Hibernate Tab.
4. Please check the CheckBox name Enable Hibernation to enabled the hibernation if it is not hibernated.
5. To try test the Hibernate process please follow the steps in How to start using Hibernate below.

How to start Using Hibernate:
Please follow this steps below to active your Hibernate Features:

Make sure all necessary programs are closed prior to shutting down. Hibernating will put all programs to "sleep," but some programs won't start up properly. Experiment after this to figure out which programs perform as intended.
  1. Click Start and Shut Down,
  2. Point the standby button and maintain the shift key pushed,
  3. A new hibernation button appears: click it while still holding the shift key: voila your PC will hibernate.
Thanks

When I shut down my computer, I think that it is shutting down completly. All lights are off indicating that it is shut down. Then a small blue window will appear and will say "Entering Power Safe Mode"....

If you are turning off your computer by pressing the front panel power button, it is probably just putting Windows to sleep but not shutting the computer off. If your computer has Windows Vista, the default is to hibernate and not shut down even if you shut down through Vista. The "power save" message you see is coming from the monitor, which is letting you know it isn't getting a signal from the computer anymore but the power is still on. Windows will start up again from sleep mode if someone or something moves the mouse or presses a key.

The solution is to make sure the computer is actually shut down. In Vista you can do this by clicking the arrow near the power icon on the Start menu. This gives you the option of shutting down instead of hibernating. In XP, shut the computer down using the start menu shutdown option instead of the computer power button. Then the power will shut down completely.

Hibernating

What do you mean shutting down the hibernating mode? Stop it happening when the battery goes low, or shutting down into hibernate mode?
