Question about Audio Players & Recorders
My machine is 14 years old and I have been told it can't be repaired because parts are no longer available. At times I get a "Service Now. Disc not ready." message which I can usually take care of by turning the power switch off and on 3 or more times. I work in a doctor's office and though this machine isn't used nearly as much as it used to be the doctors are getting very irritated with being cut off in the middle of their dictation and having to redictate. I am desperate for help as this could cost me my job if I can't come up with a solution to present to my boss.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Make sure that 'VOX' or 'VA' isn't turned on. This is Voice Activated recording and is designed to record only when the person is talking. The problem is that sometimes it'll cut in or out when you don't want it to.
Also, if the handheld has a 'Dict/Conf' switch, put it into 'Dict'. The 'Conf' setting is for conference recording - which will make the mic more sensitive and pick up more background noise.
