Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I assume you've tried batteries, cleaned the laser, etc. If so, then the laser might be knackered!

SOURCE: My Walkman won't charge

What I did when I got this error was to push the reset button on the bottom of the player itself... Mine rebooted and took a charge from the computer. Hope this all works for you.

Keeps on saying there is no disc in walkman when there is?

This is a confirmed ffault of either the optical head being dirty or faulty. First use a good swab, or a good earbud to carefully wipe clean the lens to shine well. check if the disc turns or tries to turn. open and check if the cd is free in rotation on the spindle. If so your optical head needs to be replaced with the same type. Proceed to change if the cost is resonable to you and a true replacement is available.
