THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THE DRIVE.

BUY TAKING OFF THE FRONT COVER THIS SHOULD LET OR OPEN AND CLOSE MANUALLY.

MOST LIKELY U HAVE JUST KNOCKED IT I TOUCH OF IS RUNNER.

JUST KEEPS MOVING THE DOOR ONCE ITS OPENED TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT AND SHOULD PUT IT BACK ON THR RUNNERS.

THIS WILL DEPEND ON HOW YOU OPENED IT

Lol
Dont listen to him. Your drive has just screwed up a bit from manually opening it. Tinker with it a bit. Try manually opening and closing it a few times. Manual open(if you do it the right way) is a bit different on each brand of drive. Google will have a guide for manual opening.

You are going to have to get a new drive. you can send it back to xbox if you have the warranty send it back, if not it is the drive and you have to get a new one. it will come out to about $130. the best case would be that you just busted a pin and hope they can replace the pin. connie

Xbox 360: disk drive

try reseting the system in the system settings this, is sometimes caused by an update not downloading and or installing correctly. once you reset to default, try updating  the system on xbox live. if this continues you might have a drive issue. good luck....

My guitar hero3 will not read in the system it worked fine earlier today i turned it on and now it wont work at all it saids disk not readable it is 3 weeks old

Check the disk. if it has a bis ring arond the disk it is screwed. this is caused by moving the xbox before the disk has stopped spinning.

Xbox doesnt read disks

If you have a Hard Disk Drive or Memory attached to the console, turn the console off and remove the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) unit and any attached Memory Unit (MU), then switch on your console and try the disc again. If this seems to resolve the issue, turn off your console, attach the HDD and MU again, and then delete any saved games for the game that is causing problems.
Note If it is possible to do so, save the games to a separate MU.
To find out how to remove and connect the Hard Disk Drive from your console, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
