Question about Ricoh Aficio 3025 All-In-One Laser Printer

How do you delete a Speed Dial Fax number on a Aficio 3025?

I have a Aficio 3025 at work and we have pre-programmed it with the fax numbers we use daily however in the process of doing it we had a "test" number that we set up (our own fax number). I cannot figure out how to delete the test number from the list now.

How to delete and program in speed numbers for fax

Create speed dial entries for fax numbers that you use frequently. The number of speed dial entries you can set up depends on the HP device. For more information, see the specifications for the HP device.
expanded.gifTo manually create a speed dial entry 1 In the HP Solution Center, click Settings, point to Fax Settings and Setup, and then click Fax Speed Dial Settings. 2 Click New Entry. 3 In the Speed Dial Settings - New Entry dialog box, type a name and fax number, and then click OK. 4 In the Speed Dial Settings dialog box, click Save. The entry is stored on the HP device.
Note If you are creating a speed dial entry for a networked HP device and you are unable to save the entry, another user on the network might have accessed the same speed dial. Wait a few minutes and try to save the entry again. expanded.gifTo create a speed dial entry from the Address Book 1 In the HP Solution Center, click Settings, point to Fax Settings and Setup, and then click Fax Speed Dial Settings. 2 Under Address Book, click Select From. 3 In the Address Book dialog box, select one or more names, and then click OK. 4 In the Speed Dial Settings dialog box, click Save. The entry is stored on the HP device.

Hi zoaj,

More then likely you have the fax set up to USE A DIALING PREFIX.

Therefore it is automatically doing this, regardless of what you input.

Follow the proceedure below ( which comes directly from the users manual for your printer type ) to change this. Delete the " USE A DIALING PREFIX " information.

once that is done, it will no longer automatically add the prefix for you. :)

I have BOLDED the relevant information below that pertains to this.

Please take a moment to evaluate my solution. Your appropriate rating of my solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

I work for the county and I have to dial a code # first

18001234567,1234567890,1234567890

program your speed dial with 'symbols(button)' between the groups of numbers,
the 'symbols' adds a 2second delay between the dialed characters at that point.
except for the first 'symbol' the first 'symbol' pauses till the other end answers the phone and handshaking has taken place.

If the numbers are not always the same, program two speed dials, one for the 1800, one for the password.
and when sending
speeddial1 number speeddial2

Cannot delete pre programmed speed dial number

Reset the memory from the display panel. Or have a tech remove the main board from the machine and let it sit. Some times data gets stuck in logic circuits, and normal operation of the machine cannot remove it. You either replace the board or kill all power to it the install it back it the machine. If problem returns there is probably damage to circuits. Use ESD protection and electrical safety precautions or send to shop
