SOURCE: Vizio GV42L LCD TV screen black when turn TV on first time

If you are using a set top box this might be caused by turnig the box on at the same tie as you turn the tv on or slightly after you turn the tv on.  If you are using compnent or HDMI inputs the set needs to see the signal as it is turned on to know what formt the signal is in.

SOURCE: vizio tv has audio but no picture

My vizio has the same problem, no picture with only sounds. I tried calling vizio for help but their customer service and or tech support REALLY **** big time! They tossed me around to here and there with no solutions. My only suggestion to you is that, tell everyone related to you or your friends to not ever buy vizio again. Too many people is having problems with these sucky tvs. I'm still not sure what I am going to do with mine. Maybe I'll just let it fly down from a three story building!

SOURCE: Vizio VW32L HDTV10A stopped responding with Vizio

Change the batteries in your remote. If your cat was laying on a button it could have drained them.

Here's tip - you can use your camera on your cell phone to see the IR signal coming out of your remote. Point the remote at your cam and press "On" or any button. You should see a bright flash with every key stroke.

SOURCE: Vizio won't turn off

This could be a mainboard problem. Sometimes one of the fuses may be bad and may freeze up causing the TV to not be able to power off.

Vizio E291-a1 no power

There are 2 screws on the bottom of the unit, and 1 on the back. The back snaps tightly onto the front. Unplug the unit (naturally) and very gently, starting at a corner pry the back off the front using 2 small screw drivers. One to lift the back off and the other to pry the edge of the from from the back.

Vizio e420 sound problems

1. Press volume up on the remote control. 2. Press the MUTE button on the remote to ensure mute is off.
3. Check the audio connections of external devices (Blu-ray player, game console, cable/satellite box) that are connected to the TV.
