Konica Minolta 1690MF causing Fuser Paper Jam error when printing color. Does NOT happen when printing black and white. (Paper is genuinely stuck entering the fuser). Why is the problem happening for...

I was wondering if the original poster of this problem found a solution. My printer does the EXACT same thing. B & W printing is perfect. Any color print jams in the fuser. The printer feeds the paper too far (from thin copy paper to cardstock) so that the top of the page is cut off. Konica sent me a new fuser but that did not solve the problem. Again, this only happens when printing any page that has color on it (even a document with only one letter in color). B&W printing is unaffected.

Why is there a black line on all documents that i print?

The 2 most common causes for lines on this machine areA) Dirty **** Glass ( This would only affect copies not internal or computer printed jobs)B) Worn Drum Unit
First make a copy off the large glass and see if you get a line still, if not try running it through the document feeder. If the line is present through the feeder but not off the large glass. Clean the small strip of glass to the left of the large copy glass and this should resolve the line.
If lines show up regardless of how or what you print/copy open the left door of the machine and you should see in the lower area a handle with a blue sticker on it. By grabbing both the front and rear handle of the unit remove it by pulling straight out and lifting slightly. If this blue/green cylinder has any tan colored lines or marks on it then the drum is worn and needs replaced.

How do I set the fusing unit correctly?

How to fix the Error: "Set the Fusing Unit correctly"
Ricoh Aficio SP C411DN & C410DN Color Laser Printers
Instructions:
1. There is a short Wire Jumper (color: black or white) on the inside of the main electrical connector of the Fuser Unit.
Note: These procedures can be done without removing the outer plastic housing of the Fuser Unit.
2. Press the side clip (or tab) and first pull the tab end of the large connector plug from the main housing of the Fuser Unit.
Warning: The connector plug wires are very short -- it extends a maximum of about 1 inch (or 2 cm) from the main housing of the Fuser Unit.
3. Use a small screwdriver and gently remove the small white connector that the Wire Jumper is plugged into.
Warning: Try to remember the correct orientation that this small connector is plug-in.
4. Use a small screwdriver (or a small flat blade) and gently raise the small tabs on the front of the small connector, while pulling gently on each end of the Wire Jumper.
Warning: Do not remove Wire Jumper forcefully by pulling.
5. Make sure that this Wire Jumper is plugged into the same pins as the one on the old Fuser Unit that is being replaced. There are only three pins that the jumper can plug into.
6. Reassembly the Fuser Unit by plugging in the two connector that were removed.
7. Replace the Fuser Unit into the Ricoh printer and secure properly.
8. Power on the printer -- it should start-up and go to the ready state without any errors.
9. The END.

We have a Ricoh Aficio MP c5000 and I'm trying to duplex copy in color and it keeps jamming right at (what I assume is) the fuser. I can copy in black and white duplex but not color. It's almost like it...

Fuser could be wearing. copying in color creates a thicker layer of toner on the paper which in turn creates more friction within the fuser. Make sure the copier is set to thick paper if in fact you are using thicker than 20 pound paper.

Color looks blauchy. all consumables are at a good level. what I should?

check the fuser rollers for wear also lift the lid and look at the mirrors on the scanner unit to see if there is and dust on them as this affects the copy quality if you are using for printing check the difference in quality if the prints are better the problem is in the glass copy area could be dust or paper dust on mirrors.. if not the drums or transfer could be worn have you had it serviced if not that may be required

Dark border one side of paper

This maybe your cleaning blade, your drum or the fuser unit....the best way to find out is to make a copy a to stop it before it's getting to the fuser unit ( that's the thing very hot). If you see your border it's your cleaning or drum...But when you replace a drum you must replace the cleaning blade to !

Hope it help !
