Insert a tool such as a screwdriver across the blade guard and against a tooth to prevent blade rotation, then tighten the blade nut. Be sure to remove the wedging device before operating the saw

SOURCE: I am trying to install

some saws have a button to hold down that will lock the blade in place. if yours doesnt have the button, try putting a screwdriver in one of the cutouts or on the blade tip itslef and lock it in position. your problem may be that the screw on the saw is actually reverse threaded. they usually are reverse threaded.

How to change the blade on a black and decker table saw

unplug tool first. remove the throat plate and raise the blade all the way up. There were 2 wrenches included with this saw when new,, an open end wrench about 3/4" and a box wrench. Hold the spindle with the open end wrench and loosen the hex nut with the other one. It is a standard thread.

I have a black and decker CS1000. How do you tighten or loosen blade. There is no spindle lock that I can find.

If you can't find a spindle lock you can unplug the tool and find a piece of wood and put the blade against it and loosen and also tighten the blade, but most newer saws have a spindle lock located in the gear housing somewhere.

How do i lock the shaft on the motor so i can put the blade in my Black and decker 18V 6-1/2-in Cordless Circular Saw - BDCS1806

Almost all circular saws have a button or lever you push in to lock the motor shaft. You will have to hold that button or lever in while you turn the shaft, there will be one certain spot where it will lock.

I was given an old grinder a while back (and not told it needed a handle, but luckily found one), but don't know how to get the wheel/blade off to put on another. There is a "key" with it,...

there is usually a spindle lock on the gearcase somewhere that you need to depress while turning the spanner wrench. If this fails what I have done to remove a "stubborn" wheel is use a punch UNPLUG TOOL FIRST and hit against one of the holes counterclockwise to loosen the nut.

How do you change the blade on a GMC 10 inch cmpund miter saw?

With the saw unplugged, push the spindle lock in on the motor side of the saw (a short black rod) while turning the blade by hand. The spindle lock will seat and hold the blade still so that you can use a wrench to loosen the nut that holds the blade on. Use the spindle lock again for tightening a new blade on the saw.

When I try to change the blade on my table saw the shaft moves when I try to loosen the arbor nut. I am blocking the saw blade from moving

If it is like a Dewalt table saw it requires 2 wrenches, one for the hex nut and the other open end for the spindle shaft. If this doesn't help you can go to their website and look at an operators manual for this particular tool.
